We screen the best documentaries from around the world at the Roxie Cinema, the oldest art house theater west of the Mississippi. Many of our titles end up with calendared runs at the Roxie later in the year. We get great press coverage in San Francisco, the second largest film market in the country, plus industry reviews.

In addition, we do not pay fees to festivals that do not watch the films. For us, this is essential. If a filmmaker pays a submission fee, there must be at least a minimum commitment to reviewing the work and acting seriously on the part of the festival.
These are not just defined action protocols. They are also real people reviewing cases and making real decisions. We are not perfect, but we do know that we treat our work, filmmakers, and festivals with care, and after more than a decade of experience, we know our method works very well.
For a filmmaker, it is not enough just to submit a film. It also matters to know what happens afterward. That is why one of Festhome’s most valuable advantages is that it shows filmmakers whether their film has been watched by the festival.
This provides something very important: transparency. Because it is not the same to submit your film and remain in the dark as it is to follow the real path of your submission and know whether the festival has actually taken the time to watch your work. Dona i Cinema mira a generare uno spazio vivo di creazione e indagine artistica e sociale. Uno spazio guidato da donne, che divulga le loro opere e produzioni, promuove le pari opportunità nelle arti dello spettacolo e favorisce la fine delle pratiche discriminatorie nei confronti delle donne.
Per questo motivo dal 2011 organizziamo la Biennale Internazionale Dona i Cinema — Mujer y Cine — Woman & Film, una settimana dedicata al cinema fatto da e per le donne, con la mostra di una selezione di lungometraggi, cortometraggi, documentari, animazione e videoarte. Tutto realizzato da donne.
FESTIVAL INTERNAZIONALE DEL CINEMA DI HELLÍN,
con questa V edizione, diventa un consolidamento culturale nell'universo cinematografico spagnolo. Un festival che riunisce non solo il cinema, il 15 e 21 novembre, Hellín ospiterà personalità del mondo del cinema, corsi di formazione, conferenze, percorsi di location, concerti, degustazioni di vini, serate di gala, ecc.

Lago Cinema è un festival universitario di cortometraggi organizzato dalla Escuela de Humanidades y Educación del Tecnológico de Monterrey, campus Toluca. Nato come spazio espositivo interno, ma presto aprirà le sue porte all'iscrizione di lavori esterni per trasformarsi in un festival con giurati e una cerimonia di premiazione. Nel 2023 ho dato un forte orientamento alla sostenibilità.
Quest'anno, arriverà a Cabo il 13 e 14 novembre 2024 a Toluca, Stato del Messico.
La mostra internazionale di cortometraggi Video/Jujuy/Cortos è uno spazio di proiezione audiovisiva NON competitivo, senza fini di lucro, aperto e gratuito organizzato annualmente da Wayruro Comunicación Popular.
L'obiettivo del Festival è promuovere la produzione e la diffusione di audiovisivi come mezzo di espressione e comunicazione.
Questo spazio artistico/culturale gratuito è nato nel 2002. Fin dai suoi inizi, il festival ha stabilito relazioni con scuole, organizzazioni sociali, di quartiere, per i diritti umani e artistiche, i centri di attività giovanili e le organizzazioni delle popolazioni native, cercando di essere permeabile alle esigenze e alle richieste del mezzo, sia in termini di temi che di genere, dando vita a un programma variegato che spazia dal video sociale all'animazione, compresa la fiction e gli audiovisivi sperimentali.

L'International Short Film Festival Psarokokalo è un festival annuale che si svolge in Grecia dal 2007. Il festival mira a fornire una vetrina per il lavoro di nuovi registi di tutto il mondo e a promuovere la diversità e la ricchezza del cortometraggio. Il festival fa parte di un progetto volto a ricercare, promuovere e sviluppare l'arte del cinema. Il programma del festival include proiezioni di cortometraggi provenienti dalla Grecia e dall'estero, nonché eventi audiovisivi, conferenze, masterclass, mostre e concerti dal vivo. La qualità delle sue proiezioni, conferenze, mostre è riuscita a renderlo un punto di riferimento per cinefili, registi, professionisti e nuovi artisti. Il nostro Lan Party riunirà appassionati di videogiochi, arcade e tecnologia provenienti da tutta la regione per vivere un'esperienza online unica e competere in emozionanti tornei. Oltre a conferenze e conferenze su argomenti relativi all'evento.
All'interno dell'evento abbiamo una sezione dedicata ai cortometraggi con un'unica categoria «Freak Film» in cui mostriamo i cortometraggi più importanti su sangue, sudore, coraggio, genialità e sfacciataggine per intrattenere i nostri partecipanti.
In A Minute Film Festival si concentra sulla presentazione di film di un minuto. Siamo situati in un sobborgo di New York City (NYC), per un facile accesso da tutti. Tutti i generi sono accettati, ma il limite di tempo è impostato. 1 minuto. Al festival nutriamo il networking e l'incoraggiamento del pubblico per il duro lavoro svolto da tutti.
L'In A Minute Film Festival è stato creato per offrire ai registi l'opportunità di mostrare la loro capacità di raccontare brevi racconti in un film di 1 minuto, con il pubblico e il sostegno di altri registi.
Le proiezioni live dei migliori film si concludono con un Q&A, in modo che i registi possano essere orgogliosi del loro lavoro e incontrare registi simili. Avremo anche un'edizione online con film, per poter raggiungere un pubblico internazionale.

Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote è un progetto organizzato dall'Asociación Tenique Cultural, un'organizzazione senza scopo di lucro i cui obiettivi principali sono promuovere, diffondere e discutere film indipendenti, analizzare il contesto locale e collegarlo a livello globale. La quindicesima edizione del progetto si terrà tra il 20 novembre e il 30 novembre 2025.
Il bando di concorso sarà aperto tra il 2 aprile e il 31 agosto 2025 e i film potranno essere presentati alle due sezioni competitive: la Sezione ufficiale dei lungometraggi, dotata di un premio di 6.500 euro, e la Cruce de caminos: Filmmakers from the Canaries, dotata di un premio di 1.200 euro. Il premio verrà pagato durante i primi quattro mesi dell'anno.

Lived Perspectives is a film festival dedicated to showcasing short films by filmmakers from underrepresented communities with screenings held throughout the year.
We are currently inviting submissions from the following communities:
Disabled and neurodivergent filmmakers for screening on 21st February 2027.
Maximum submission length is 30 minutes.
Films can be from any genre and style, the unifying theme being that they are all rooted in lived experience and must be directed, written or co-produced by members of the specific communities stated above.
All submissions must include a short description of how they meet the requirements.
All films selected for screening must have burned-in subtitles in English.
Films which make our Official Selection will be scheduled for screening at the next appropriate event. At the end of each screening, the audience will be invited to select their favourite film. If audience votes are close, there can be joint winners or special mentions.
Screenings for disabled and neurodivergent filmmakers provide a space for engaging with new viewpoints and ways of viewing disability and difference, challenging stereotypes, and promoting a forum for self-representation.

Lived Perspectives is a non-profit community interest company. Our payment options reflect how we aim to make our festival and screening events as open and accessible as we can.
1. Submission for those on a low income/struggling to manage their daily expenses and for students is $5.
2. We ask that those who can afford to pay the full price of $13 to do so. You will be helping us to finance future editions of Lived Perspectives and support other members of our communities.

Stagione 4: una serie cinematografica underground trimestrale a Liverpool curata da People Versus TV (PVTV). Stiamo cercando cortometraggi che abbracciano lo strano, il satirico, il surreale e il sovversivo.
Che tu sia un artista outsider o un raffinato provocatore, vogliamo il tuo lavoro, soprattutto se è divertente, furioso, anarchico, anticonvenzionale, assurdo o semplicemente strano.
Cosa stiamo cercando
Accogliamo con favore le iscrizioni di registi, videoartisti e creatori ibridi che lavorano in:
- Cinema sperimentale
- Cortometraggi surreali, assurdi e onirici
- Satira politica e sociale (specialmente quella che fa schifo)
- Realizzazione di film fai da te, lo-fi o formalmente inventivi
- Narrazioni che sfidano le norme o stravolgono le aspettative

Fringe Flicks sostiene i cortometraggi che non si adattano allo schema dei festival mainstream. Proiettiamo davanti a un pubblico reale e impegnato della scena artistica underground di Liverpool e diamo più valore all'immaginazione rispetto alla musica raffinata. Le nostre proiezioni sono sociali, a bassa pressione e incentrate sullo scambio creativo.
