Welcome to our Spring Season that runs Monthly from April thru June 2026.
NewFilmmakers NY is New York's longest running year round Film Festival. Throughout it's twenty-eight year run NewFilmmakers has provided a platform for first time and veteran filmmakers.
We have taken an exciting new direction with NewFilmmakers called NewFilmmakersPlus which will move our festival into the digital age and allow us to reach international audiences.
While theaters have been closed, our online audiences have greatly exceeded those in theaters. With NewFilmmakers Plus we have added the missing audience participation to our online screenings.
Now filmmakers, cast, and crew as well as audience members can create interactive video screening rooms while watching a film. Just by pushing the START A GROUPVIEW button to the right of the film they can invite up to six people to talk about the film in a video conference. It’s almost like watching side-by-side in real life — without having to share your popcorn.
In addition our films will now be available for one month and screenable any time of the day instead of only one night. This allows more people to see our films and makes it easier to set up a screening event with friends and colleagues. As requested we are switching to filmmaker hosted files utilizing unlisted YouTube links which will eliminate the need to transcode and to send us large files as well as giving filmmakers control over their film.
In today’s world online screenings give filmmakers worldwide audiences instead of limited local ones. With NewFilmmakers Plus filmmakers not only reach worldwide audiences but can interact with them as they would at a traditional theater.

The Festival is organized by the Cultural Association Researching Movies and is supported by the Padua City Council, the Veneto Region, and the Italian Ministry of Culture.
Padua has recently been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List thanks to Giotto’s Scrovegni Chapel and the city’s 14th-century fresco cycles, making it a truly special art city that attracts tourists and creative minds from all over the world.
All screenings are free and open to the public — no ticket required.
The selected films will once again be screened on a floating screen placed in the middle of the 16th-century fluvial port at Porta Portello, the historic city gate once used for trade between Padua and Venice. From the organizing committee of the ComHEP (Colombian Meeting on High Energy Physics), in collaboration with the research groups Hipertrópico, Mikropía, and Cuántico, we aim to foster a creative and critical dialogue between art, science, and technology, focusing on quantum mechanics as we commemorate its centennial anniversary.
The Quantum Arts Festival (QuArF) will encompass a one-day festival in November 2025, followed by a three-month exhibition in March 2026. The event will feature artistic installations, performances, lectures, and discussion spaces designed to encourage exchange, reflection, and the emergence of new collaborative possibilities at the intersection of these fields.
Our overarching goal is to promote transdisciplinary research, creation, and dialogue. We envision this festival and exhibition as a platform that will, over time, become a national point of convergence for individuals and communities engaged with art, physics, and quantum technologies—a space for the exploration of the aesthetic, philosophical, and cultural dimensions of the quantum paradigm.

Since 1989, GIRI-DOOT (the leading adventure lovers’ association of Eastern India) has been organizing the International Adventure Film Festival
For 27 years, Giri Doot has proudly hosted this festival one of the country’s longest-running festivals dedicated to exploration, mountaineering, and the spirit of adventure. Now entering its 28th year, the festival continues to attract a vibrant community of climbers, explorers, filmmakers, journalists, and adventure enthusiasts from across the world.
The festival is more than a showcase of films — it is a cultural bridge that fosters international exchange and understanding through the powerful medium of cinema.
Over nearly three decades, it has grown into a celebrated platform where filmmakers and audiences come together to share stories of discovery, courage, and human connection with the natural world.
Each year, the festival presents films that capture the endless dreams of those who venture into the unknown — from daring ascents in the Himalayas to journeys across oceans and deserts. These films educate, inspire, and highlight adventure as not just sport, but also a way to understand our shared planet and its diverse cultures.
This year’s theme is “Himalaya Connects Mount Fuji”, symbolizing the bond between two iconic peaks and the spirit of unity that defines adventure storytelling.
In 2025, the International Adventure Film Festival enters a new chapter, with Bodhak Studio joining hands with Giri Doot to extend its reach and impact.
Together, we aim to continue building a forum that celebrates creativity, storytelling, and the activism inherent in adventure.
From high-altitude expeditions to journeys into remote communities, from adrenaline to quiet reflection, we are excited to showcase the diversity of global adventure cinema.
As it is a touring festival we hold the festival at different places of India from Kashmir to Kanya Kumarika.
Why Submit?
With its 28-year legacy, the International Adventure Film Festival of India is the country’s oldest and most respected adventure film platform. Partnering with Bodhak Studio in 2025, the festival is expanding its vision to bring global adventure cinema to diverse Indian audiences, while spotlighting new voices in the genre.
Join us as we celebrate bold, beautiful stories of terrain, resilience, and the human spirit.
Adventure Film (under 90 minutes)
Adventure Short Film (under 20 minutes)
Student Film (under 15 mins)
The festival is a showcase of films in all genres by young emerging filmmakers. The cultural capital of India hosts numerous film festivals every year. Our team has taken into account the features of most film festivals. To present something new, we decided to place our primary focus on independent underknown filmmaking from all over the world. Besides, we realize that the boundaries of cinema have expanded significantly over the past two decades due to the digital "revolution.” Nowadays, one can shoot films with a smartphone, without using special equipment or being a professional filmmaker. Therefore, the cinema has become far more expressive and entered a new era of its development, uncovering all shades of life, all colours of culture and subcultures. We believe that the programme of Venus Brightest Star Film Festival gives a free hand to any way of artistic expression.
We welcome any experimental ways that create new film languages evolving the cinema!

With the name Illusive Eye the optical process by which animation occurs in our brain by generating movement from the illusion produced by the rapid exposure to images in sequence is evoked. Animation offers the construction of credible universes, capable of freeing us from the limits of immediate reality.
With the coming of current communication technologies, animation has gained even more ground than it had in Film, Didactics and Videogames. Now, with the internet and the power of cell phones, mobile applications and the interconnection of devices and institutions with the network, animation has become an essential part of the language of interaction between the user and the world.
This audiovisual language has extended its discursive horizons as far as the human imagination reaches, and technically its evolution has allowed it to overcome reality by opening a fantastic vortex that provides immersive experiences and high doses of empathy as well as tons of fans of all ages and throughout the world, developing any theme with great aesthetic contributions and various levels of depth.
In honor of this abyss of creativity and as an invitation to immerse ourselves in it, this meeting space has been created for creators, scholars and amateurs. Looking to show not only its strength in the current film narrative but the presence of other types of speeches built on this means of visual expression: GIFs, memes, stickers, emoticons, headers, symbols for social networks, interface elements, banners, promotions , and any type of element generated from the illusion of an eye.
