El Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Torremolinos se ha convertido en pocos años en uno de los eventos más importantes de la Costa del Sol (España). El Festival Internacional de Cine de Gáldar (FIC Gáldar) es uno de los festivales de cine de referencia en las Islas Canarias, y ha concentrado en cada una de sus ediciones lo mejor del cine nacional e internacional.
Organizado por el Ayuntamiento de Gáldar a través de su Concejalía de Cultura desde 2013, este festival propone un evento en directo con importantes medidas sanitarias para garantizar la plena seguridad y confort del mismo.
El festival tendrá lugar en la ciudad de Gáldar, en la isla de Gran Canaria, en octubre de 2025, y su filosofía se centra en la película como único y gran centro gravitatorio, sin perder de vista a los creadores, que merecen un respeto parangonable por sus obras.
Así, este festival no distinguirá entre temas, formatos o géneros. Las presentaciones están abiertas a todo tipo de largometrajes y cortometrajes, siendo estas las dos únicas secciones oficiales. Buscamos mostrar lo mejor en drama, comedia, terror, acción, aventura, ciencia ficción/fantasía, thrillers/suspense, noir, tanto en ficción como en documental, tanto en imagen real como en animación. Las suscripciones están abiertas a películas de todo el mundo.
El FIC apuesta por el cine por el cine, por una verdadera visión que no responda a encadenamientos ni sociales, ni ideológicos, ni formales. Es, en esencia, un festival de cine sin fronteras.
Por último, el festival también rendirá homenaje a diferentes personalidades de la industria cinematográfica y organizará talleres y actividades paralelas.
JUNIORFEST es el segundo festival de cine más grande para el público infantil y juvenil de la República Checa. Se celebra en seis ciudades de la región de Pilsen, incluida la metrópolis regional de Pilsen, con sus 170 mil habitantes, una ciudad elegida Capital Europea de la Cultura en 2015. How our monthly festival works…
Our Monthly Festival is a showcase of Short films from around the world, screening 50 minutes of short film in the first half, followed by our selected Feature Short in the second. We also host a Q&A with filmmakers able to attend and talks with local creatives.
At each event, two films will be selected to win either one of our awards:

The Directors Choice Award
Films included in the first half are nominated for our 'The People's Choice Award’; This is evidently voted for our audiences on the night and votes are calculated collectively from all of our venues.
In the second half of the night we host our 'Feature Short', one film no longer than 50 minutes. This is our headliner for the event. This film is awarded, ‘The Directors Choice Award’, one that our Judging panel felt deserves recognition.
