The Five Continents Festival is, in its nature, a place for diverse cultures and people to meet, where comparison is stimulated, diversity is praised, dialogue is preferred, awareness is promoted, multiculturalism is celebrated. Through short films, the Five Continents Film Festival offers to share with the public traditions and customs of people from all over the world and their cultural expressions.
The Five Continents Film Festival will consist of multiple film screenings and will take place at different times and locations from July to September 2016. It will conclude with a final event, at a date to be determined in the fall of 2016, in which the winner of the festival will be announced. The calendar and times of screenings will be published on our website and on the Five Continents Festival program.
Our 2015 festival was a huge successes with 253 animations entered from over 57 countries.We screened 55 out of the 253 over 3 days at Wooster, Ohio. Due to some unavoidable circumstances our 1st International Wildlife Animal & Environment Film festival of Odisha 2016 postponed to 14th November 2016 so the date of opening and closing of film submission will be as per notice given.
The 1st International Wildlife Animal & Environment Film festival of Odisha & 3rd International Children Film Festival 2016 will be staged on 14th November 2016 at Balangir. On the day films of various languages will be shown. On the day of the programme a seminar & Photography will be conducted. At many children or general public will be invited to the programme. A souvenir will be published containing messages of eminent personalities and articles.

The Hell's Half Mile Film & Music Festival (HHM) is the perfect mix of independent film and live indie music. Still under the radar, but we’re starting to make an impact with our guests.

Our taste is eclectic, everything from quirky comedies to hard hitting documentaries to emotional drama. Our goal is to find "the little film that could" -- a bunch of them actually -- and bring the filmmakers together to take over Bay City, MI. Our primary concern is community, and the filmmakers who attend our long weekend walk away with lifelong friends and future collaborators.

Over the last ten years over 100 directors, producers, screenwriters and actors have joined our growing audience. We provide travel and accommodations to a select number of filmmakers, plus all-access passes and catered receptions. All of our venues are within a few block radius and hotels are within walking distance, making it super easy to get around. Our goal is to provide you with a professional, casual and fun experience during your stay with us, including unique outings that give you a taste of the local flavor. Once your festival experience ends, Hell’s Half Mile looks to the future. HHM alumni receive fee waivers for future projects and all-access passes for subsequent year’s festivals, whether you have a film in our program or not. Guests are not left alone to fend for themselves amidst our rabid audiences and interested community members. Programmers and organizers are ever present and ready with introductions, recommendations and the occasional swift exit from oversharers. Bay City nights are filled with raw rock and roll sounds giving us the moniker of “little Detroit”, especially into the wee hours at super-secret-after-parties. Daytime in Bay City is cool Fall days with sunny riverside strolls or bike rides past historic lumber baron mansions. Or, there are always plenty of great films to watch. Its up to you!
Filmmakers are also encouraged to participate in panel discussions, receptions and other events. We continue to foster student and local filmmaking, which provides opportunities for guest filmmakers to present a workshop or lecture focused on a specific topic or specialty. Other guests are invited to screen our student and local short films and give constructive feedback to the filmmakers. This type of mentoring helps to strengthen local filmmaking and continue our relationships with area universities.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
After ten years, Hell’s Half Mile organizers continue to strive to be an innovative festival for genuinely independent films and original music. This festival is about connecting the filmmaker and the festival-goer. Period. Well, and parties too.
In addition to relentless promotion of films, Hell’s Half Mile recognizes and rewards films with jury, programmer and audience awards, some with prizes. Prizes include a cash prize of $1000 for the Grand Jury Award, as well as other valued prizes. Grand Jury Winners include the controversial “Lamb” (2015), the Icelandic “Metalhead” (2014), and the acclaimed documentary "Remote Area Medical" (2013). Past jurors include Damien Chazelle (Whiplash), Adam Busch (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Adam Schartoff (Filmwax Radio), Jasmine McGlade (Maria My Love), Joey Kern (“Super Troopers”), Geoff Marslett (Loves Her Gun), WAW Parker (Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench), Rider Strong (Cabin Fever), Leslie Raymond (Ann Arbor Film Festival), Mark Covino (A Band Called Death), Michael Dunaway (Paste Magazine), Joel Potrykus (Buzzard) and Jeff Meyers (Metro Times).
Each year we screen great narrative films, like the Midwest Premiere of Terry McMahon’s “Patrick’s Day” jury award winner for Best Feature at the 2014 Woodstock Film Festival, and winner of the Hell’s Half Mile jury award for Best Screenplay. Quirky comedies like James Westby’s “Rid of Me” and Neil LaBute’s “Dirty Weekend” have been big hits with HHM audiences. Co-director Mark Covino attended with the international hit "A Band Called Death" which won the HHM "Fest Best" award. Rider Strong has been a guest at HHM with four amazing films over two years, including “The Dungeon Master,” written and directed with his brother Shiloh and winner of the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival Best (Online) Short Film. Some of the great music we’ve had over the years connects our film and music events. Matt Pond PA joined us at HHM in 2010. This same year, screening at the festival was “Lebanon PA,” with original score by Matt Pond and Chris Hansen of Matt Pond PA. Another great band that performed at HHM in 2011 was The One AM Radio, led by Hrishikesh Hirway who also did the original music for the 2012 feature film “Save the Date.” Visit hhmfest.com for lists and links of previous music performers.
HHM, a partnership with the Bay Arts Council, utilizes a unique mix of venues including Bay City’s historic Mayan themed State Theatre, the Delta College Planetarium, and a turn-of-the-century red sandstone former Masonic Temple, saved from demolition by the Bay Arts Council. Likewise, the Hell’s Half Mile programmers are looking for the right mix of creative and challenging works, including those from underserved segments of the film community, to bring to our seriously appreciative audiences. What's with the name?
In the late 1800's, a stretch of Bay City's riverfront was lined with raucous saloons and two-bit hotels where turn-of-the-century loggers and shipmen would go to blow off steam and take in more than a little local color. This strip was known to locals as Hell's Half Mile. "'Hell's Half Mile' was the strip of waterfront where lumberjacks used to go boozing and whoring. Now, a bunch of us from Hollywood go there for a film festival. Not much has changed." – Rider Strong
Time has passed, but the same rough-and-tumble spirit of the day is reborn in the Hell's Half Mile Film & Music Festival. Today, the city boasts a beautiful downtown riverfront with boutiques, restaurants, theatres, pubs, hotel accommodations and other points of interest....a state of the art planetarium, art galleries, a thriving business community, and an active shipping lane for Great Lakes freighters...Downtown Bay City is alive with activity.
EL FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CORTOMETRAJES DE MACAO («FESTIVAL») es un festival audiovisual mundial anual que tiene como objetivo motivar a las producciones de cortometrajes y vídeos musicales extranjeros y de Macao a competir en este FESTIVAL.
El Festival consta de dos competiciones distintas:
- Concurso internacional de cortometrajes SHORTS
- Concurso internacional de videoclips VOLUME
«SHORTS» premia los mejores cortometrajes en las tres categorías de ficción, documental y animación. Y «VOLUME» premia al mejor vídeo musical ganador que incorpore música original de Macao. En el sitio web del Festival hay disponible una lista de las canciones originales de Macao, que se pueden descargar a propósito para VOLUME.
La inscripción de SHORTS estará abierta del 16 de marzo al 31 de mayo de 2025 y VOLUME estará abierta del 16 de marzo al 20 de julio de 2025.
El festival se conocía anteriormente como «Sound & Image Challenge» y se lanzó por primera vez en 2010 y se centró únicamente en una competencia audiovisual para talentos locales. Esta iniciativa fue cofundada con profesionales del cine, la música, el sonido y la imagen, con dos prioridades: promover las industrias creativas en el sector audiovisual y destacar los talentos locales en la producción de diseño de sonido e imágenes en movimiento. Con el paso de los años, se expandió por los 5 continentes, creció y ganó reconocimiento y, finalmente, se convirtió en un festival de cortometrajes en 2015.
El Festival se celebrará del 2 al 10 de diciembre de 2025. Durante la semana del Festival se programarán una serie de programas culturales en salas de todo Macao, como la proyección pública de la selección oficial de «SHORTS» y la selección oficial de vídeos musicales de «VOLUME», clases magistrales sobre producción y desarrollo cinematográfico, comisariado y organización del Festival Internacional de Cine, la votación del público por la opción «Elección del público» y la ceremonia de entrega de premios.
Cortos y música al aire libre. Esto es Korterraza, un festival de cortometrajes que celebrará su 16ª edición del 25 al 28 de Junio de 2025 en Vitoria-Gasteiz, y a lo largo del verano, la 11ª edición de Korterraza Araba.
KloosterKino is the place to be for animated shorts in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Three times a year we show the best animated shorts from all over the world in a friendly setting. The screenings take place in a historic cloister, which dates back to 1909, and are not subject to admission.
KloosterKino shows work by young filmmakers, but also pays attention to classic animated film. Throughout the year we also work with other festivals and cultural organizations to arrange screenings of animated shorts.
But why animated shorts? Well, first of all, because we love them! But also because too few animated shorts are shown theatrically in the Netherlands. KloosterKino wants to show animation in all its diversity: from stop-motion to CGI, from narrative to abstract, homegrown and from far away. In doing so, we hope to aid in the diffusion of the artistic animated short.
We intend to be an alternative to the larger animation festivals by offering screenings which are both accessible and challenging. We stand for high quality animated film in welcoming surroundings. Our target audience is not just the animation aficionado, but also those who normally don’t watch animation, but are open to a surprising and stimulating program of films.

CORTOS CON K FESTIVAL – 2017
5to Festival de Cortometrajes de Terror y Fantástico KlownsAsesinos.com, certamen que sigue apostando por difundir la enorme calidad del cine breve realizado en nuestro país. El festival se celebrará en la ciudad de Barcelona los días 30 de junio y 1 de julio de 2017.
PRESENTACIÓN
Desde que hace aproximadamente un año la plataforma de Promoción de Actores y Realizadores Doble·Rol (www.doblerol.com) inició su andadura, han sido muchas las personas que han contactado con nosotros. Unas para compartir su entusiasmo por formar parte de la plataforma y otras tantas para transmitirnos diversas dudas y preguntas. Entre estas consultas una en concreto ha sido especialmente constante: “Soy actor/actriz y quiero mostrarme a través de mi propio corto Doble·Rol, pero… ¿cómo encuentro un realizador que me ayude a rodarlo?”.
Aunque es innegable que tanto realizadores como actores pertenecemos al mismo sector profesional y que nadie pondría en duda que el trabajo de unos es dependiente del de los otros de forma recíproca, es igual de cierto que en demasiadas ocasiones resulta excesivamente complejo encontrar un espacio común que promueva la colaboración mutua y que unifique propósitos. Si un realizador busca actores sabe dónde encontrarlos. No le faltarán páginas web, grupos en facebook y otros lugares virtuales o físicos donde anunciar su necesidad. En cambio, sin un actor necesita realizadores… ¿Cómo los encuentra?
Esa pregunta y las ganas de idear algo que ayudara a generar una sinergia poco habitual entre actores y realizadores (y también guionistas) aportando nuestro granito de arena para que ambos colectivos caminen en la misma dirección, hacía la creatividad, en vez de hacerlo en sentido opuesto, como suele ser la tónica, fueron las razones que nos animaron a organizar este certamen de cortos específicos Doble·Rol. Un certamen que no aspira sólo a motivar la cooperación sino que también busca que el fruto de esa colaboración sea incentivada, ya sea otorgándole relevancia ante los ojos de importantes profesionales de la industria audiovisual y teatral de nuestro país o dando el protagonismo que merecen tanto actores como realizadores.
Dicho esto, sólo nos queda añadir: Manos a la obra y que gane el mejor. Eso si, sin olvidaros de leer y cumplir todas las reglas que a continuación os detallamos.
LAS REGLAS
En nuestra plataforma Doble·Rol para la promoción de Actores y Realizadores todos los cortos deben cumplir unos requisitos básicos e imprescindibles, tanto de calidad como de condiciones, para formar parte de ella.
En este Certamen las exigencias no serán tan rigurosas como en la plataforma pero si que se mantendrán las características básicas que hacen que los cortos de Doble·Rol sean tan únicos. Las normas y condiciones para participar en el certamen son las siguientes:
Los cortometrajes presentados deben tener una duración no inferior de 3 minutos ni superior a 20 minutos (sin incluir cortinillas ni créditos).
En cada corto sólo podrá aparecer un actor o actriz que deberá interpretar, obligatoriamente, un mínimo de dos personajes. Dichos personajes deberán interactuar entre ellos. No valen monólogos por separado ni nada por el estilo. No existe límite en el número de personajes que se puede interpretar, siempre que se interrelacionen. No se admitirán cortos en los que los personajes no interactúen entre ellos o en los que aparezcan, de forma reconocible, otros actores. Está permitido utilizar voces en off de otros intérpretes siempre que sean imprescindibles para el desarrollo de la historia.
Podrán participar personas físicas o jurídicas de cualquier nacionalidad siempre que hayan cumplido los 18 años.
El corto no puede estar expuesto en otros certámenes, concursos o festivales durante el período que dure éste, ni debe estar expuesto en otros portales web y/o plataformas distintas a Doble·Rol hasta que se produzca el fallo de nuestro jurado.
El número de cortos que cada persona participante puede presentar es ilimitado.
Si tu cortometraje incumple alguno de los puntos arriba indicados, no podrá ser aceptado a concurso. Ningún miembro del jurado, del equipo que conforma Clandestinodeactores.com y Doble·Rol ni tampoco empleados de las empresas patrocinadoras podrán participar en este certamen, aunque si podrán presentar cortometrajes que no entren a concurso.
CARACTERÍSTICAS Y ENVÍO DEL VÍDEO
Este certamen es bilingüe y, aunque es de carácter internacional, está principalmente enfocado a España y a los países de habla hispana. Por lo tanto es obligatorio que nos envíes tu cortometraje subtitulado, respetando las siguientes pautas:
- Si tu cortometraje está en castellano, deberás enviarlo con subtítulos en inglés
– Si tu cortometraje está en inglés o en cualquier otro idioma, deberás enviarlo con subtítulos en castellano
Todos los cortos deberán incluir dos cortinillas que se pueden descargar desde los enlaces en el lateral de está página o haciendo click aquí. La primera es animada y deberá respetarse tanto la duración como las medidas. El tiempo de duración de dichas cortinillas no debe incluirse dentro de los 3 minutos mínimos que deben durar los cortos.
Nos puedes hacer llegar el corto preferentemente en formato MPEG4 (o Mp4) codificado en H264 y AAC en HD (1280px X 720px). El archivo puede pesar hasta 500 Mb. Deberás enviárnoslo a través de wetransfer.com a nuestro correo cortos@doblerol.com
Además del archivo de vídeo, nos tendrás que facilitar tus datos y los del corto, tales como nombre y apellido del director del corto y/o nombre de la productora, nombre y apellido del actor/actriz, nombre y apellido del guionista, título del cortometraje, género en el que se engloba y localización (ciudad y país). Así también el nombre, apellido y DNI (si eres español), NIE (si eres extranjero residente en España) o número de Pasaporte (si eres extranjero) de la persona responsable de la recepción del premio en caso de que el corto fuera galardonado. También nos tendrás que mandar, junto a los datos mencionados, un fotograma de tu corto en alta calidad, en un archivo jpg o png con un peso máximo de 400Kb y un tamaño mínimo de 900px de largo, que no contenga el título. Te recomendamos que sea la mejor imagen que puedas encontrar en el corto puesto que será, de algún modo, tu cara de presentación en la web. Todo ello también nos lo debes enviar por medio de correo electrónico a cortos@doblerol.com
Posteriormente, cuando hayamos comprobado que tu corto cumple con las bases, te enviaremos un email para comunicarte si ha sido admitido a concurso. Debes tener claro también que la organización se reserva el derecho a no admitir a concurso las piezas que, según su criterio, no cumplan las condiciones técnicas, artísticas y/o legales exigidas en el certamen. Asimismo nos reservamos el derecho a descalificar o excluir piezas que la organización considere que puedan herir sensibilidades.
¿HASTA CUÁNDO PUEDO ENVIAR MI CORTOMETRAJE?
Puedes mandar tu cortometraje o cortometrajes desde el 15 de Marzo hasta el 15 de Agosto (5 meses).
Aunque el plazo de entrega es suficientemente largo, te aconsejamos que nos envíes pronto tu corto, puesto que de ese modo el público dispondrá de más tiempo para disfrutarlo tranquilamente y, de paso, se evitará la “avalancha” de cortos de última hora.
Una vez finalizado el plazo para presentar los cortometrajes se determinarán los finalistas que, durante Septiembre hasta el día 30 serán valorados por nuestro jurado para determinar el mejor cortometraje, mejor actor y mejor guión.

Rural FilmFest, miembro de Green Film Network (GFN) y Federación Pantalla, es un festival internacional de cine itinerante en el que se ofrece una panorámica actual del cine internacional de documental, ficción y animación en formato corto, medio y largo relacionado con el mundo rural, la ecología, la sostenibilidad y los recursos naturales y culturales. Rural FilmFest no es un festival de cine común, es un evento único e irrepetible. Es un campamento de verano, con excursiones, multiaventura, entrega de premios de a través de la actividad geocaching (si, has leído bien. Como cineasta tendrás que encontrar tu trofeo en la gala de clausura a través de unas coordenadas GPS), convivencia internacional, baile, fiesta y amigos para toda la vida.
