Bucharest Film Awards is a space designed for film professionals and film enthousiasts to foster creativity, expressivity and innovation in the cinematic field. Bucharest Film Awards promotes short and feature films from around the world with 18 awards in 3 categories. Only films accepted in our Official Selection are eligible to screenings.
All submitted films will be reviewed by a jury of film professionals, that will look for creativity, talent, powerful ideas, quality and attention to details, regardless of the experience of those involved in the creation process and the budget of the submitted works.
The Film Competition will be a 3-day event that will include thematic workshops, live screening events, industry talks and networking cocktails.
In addition to the Film Competition, we created Spotlight with the aim of better promoting the best submitted projects. We will screen the best 10 films submitted in the first 6 months of the year.

Mit acht Festivals unter unserem Gürtel ist es unser Ziel für unser neuntes jährliches Filmfestival, Filme unter 30 Minuten in die wachsende Kunstszene im Großraum Cleveland zu präsentieren und die Werke von Studenten für erfahrene Filmemacher im ganzen Land hervorzuheben.

Festivalübersicht
Das West Texas Film Festival ist es, verschiedene Filme von Regisseuren und Produzenten zu zeigen, die normalerweise nicht in West Texas zu sehen wären, sowie regionale Medienschaffende. Wir suchen Kurzfilme, Dokumentationen, Spielfilme, Animations- und Studentenfilme sowie Drehbücher aus aller Welt, die den Pioniergeist des Filmemachens haben. Wir sind eine registrierte gemeinnützige Organisation im Bundesstaat Texas.
Geschichte
Das Festival wurde mit einem Stipendium im Jahr 2016 von Odessa Arts begonnen. Der Education Day bringt über 100 Gymnasiasten im Permischen Becken für Workshops über Schauspiel, Drehbuch, Regie und Produzieren ein. Dies ist das dritte Jahr des Festivals.

Das Mix Brasil Festival ist eine jährliche Kulturveranstaltung mit Fokus auf Filme, die sich mit Sexualität in ihren verschiedenen Ausdrucksformen beschäftigen.
Im Jahr 2020 nahmen schätzungsweise 176.000 Zuschauer an den Vorführungen, Theater- und Musikaufführungen, Konferenzen und Debatten teil, die in der 28. Jahresausgabe des Festivals gefördert wurden.
Mix Brasil findet im November in renommierten Kinos in ganz São Paulo statt und nutzt die Vielfalt der Stadt, um eine Vielzahl innovativer Veranstaltungen zu veranstalten. Nach São Paulo, Mix Brasil Touren verkürzte Programme auf andere brasilianische Städte.
Die Veranstaltung wird von der Associação Cultural Mix Brasil durchgeführt, eine gemeinnützige Organisation, die versucht, die Freiheit der Meinungsäußerung der sexuellen Vielfalt zu fördern, indem sie neue und unterschiedliche Wege, die dies erreicht wird, betrachtet.

Founded in 2000, The Valley Film Festival (VFF) is a non-profit project of Community Partners ® and is the first and longest continually running film festival in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley, headquartered in the NoHo Arts District.
Now in its 20th year, VFF supports local and international voices that advance storytelling, while furthering the education, production, and exhibition of film. Die fünfzehnte Ausgabe des Studentenfilmfestivals FENACIES Uruguay hat am 1. April ihre Anmeldungen eröffnet und bleibt bis zum 10. Juni geöffnet. Wie jedes Jahr können alle Studenten aus der ganzen Welt (von der Grundschule bis zur Universität) ihre Kurzfilme, die vom 8. bis 14. September in Montevideo gezeigt werden, völlig kostenlos anmelden.
FENACIES ist eine 2011 gegründete Organisation, die mit dem Ziel begann, ein Kinofestival speziell für Jugendliche zu veranstalten, bei dem der Wettbewerb fair ist und die Kreativität und der Einsatz dieser Personen gewürdigt werden.
Zunächst wurde das Festival vom Ministerium für Bildung und Kultur als kulturelles Interesse, vom Rat für Grundschulbildung und vom Ministerium für Tourismus und Sport als touristisches Interesse bekundet. Darüber hinaus wurde es 2015 von der UNESCO zu pädagogischem und kulturellem Interesse erklärt.
Das Hauptziel des Festivals ist es, die audiovisuelle Bildung unter den Jüngsten zu stärken. Durch die Realisierung von Kurzfilmen können sie ihre Ideen zum Ausdruck bringen, damit sie sich dann auf der großen Leinwand widerspiegeln können.
Während der Woche werden die ausgewählten Kurzfilme in einem öffentlichen und staatlichen Kino gezeigt. Am 14. September werden die Gewinner im Rahmen der Abschlussfeier bekannt gegeben.
The Georgia Documentary Film Festival is a theatrical screening event in Atlanta, Georgia. Our mission is to screen independently produced documentary films from around the world at the Landmark Midtown Art Cinema every year. If your film is selected, you are expected to provide a high resolution download of your film so that we can make a single program on 1080p Blu-Ray DVD.
Nach dem Erfolg der letzten Ausgabe im Jahr 2024 ist das Nazra Palestine Short Film Festival zurück!
2024 war ein Jahr der weltweiten Mobilisierung und der erneuten Fokussierung auf Palästina, und bis heute hat sich die Aufgabe, palästinensische Geschichten und Kultur zu verbreiten und zu verbreiten, damit sie ein möglichst breites Publikum erreichen können, weiterhin als unverzichtbar erwiesen.
Nach acht Jahren kulturellen Engagements wurden die von Nazra unterstützten Werke 2024 dank der Unterstützung lokaler Verbände und Partner, die beschlossen, die Filme zu adoptieren und in ihre Gemeinden zu bringen, in mehr als 50 Städten gezeigt. In einigen Fällen gelang es Nazra sogar, die Filmemacher bei Vorführungen zu empfangen und so die Entfernung zwischen Palästina und Italien zu verkürzen.
Im Jahr 2025 beabsichtigt Nazra, seine Mission fortzusetzen, indem es seine Wurzeln in den lokalen Gemeinschaften vertieft und sich weiterhin dafür einsetzt, den Stimmen und Geschichten der Palästinenser Gehör zu verschaffen.
Daher kündigen wir mit Begeisterung die Aufforderung zur Einreichung von Kurzarbeiten aus und über Palästina für 2025 an.
Die Zulassungsvoraussetzungen bleiben gegenüber früheren Ausgaben unverändert: Werke können von palästinensischen und nicht-palästinensischen Autoren stammen, müssen sich jedoch auf das Thema Palästina konzentrieren. Für die Ausgabe 2025 werden Werke akzeptiert, die 2019 oder später produziert wurden und eine maximale Länge von 30 Minuten haben. Alle Werke müssen englische Untertitel haben.
Unter Berücksichtigung der Zeit, in der wir alle leben, und der aktuellen Umstände in Palästina werden die vier Kategorien, die im letzten Jahr festgelegt wurden, für diese Ausgabe bestätigt:
Fiktion, Dokumentarfilme, experimentelle Werke und die Kategorie Blick auf Gaza, die geschaffen wurden, um Berichte zu enthalten, die während des Genozidkriegs gedreht wurden, der derzeit im Gazastreifen und im Westjordanland stattfindet, wo „Gaza“ als Symbol für den gesamten palästinensischen Archipel dient.
Werke können bis zum 15. April 2025 eingereicht werden.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or the Global Goals for Sustainable Development, are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. The Global Goals are broad and interdependent, yet each has a separate list of targets to achieve. Achieving all 169 targets would signal accomplishing all 17 goals. The Goals cover ecological, social and economic development issues including poverty, hunger, health, education, global warming, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice. Localizing Global Goals: Story Begins at Home
The Global Goals provide an indicative agenda for sustainable development that is required to stimulate a series of collective actions to address areas of critical importance for humanity and the habitat. The Global Goals are a large, holistic and long-term set of goals, difficult to distil into simple and compelling messages.
While these Goals are global, their achievement will critically depend on our interest, intention, ability and resources to turn the global social contract based on pressing development commitments into a tangible reality in our homes, communities, neighborhoods, cities, regions, countries and so on. Consequentially, our immediate localities are the primary sites of the compliance of our commitments towards a universal development agenda. Therefore, the story of global goals begins at home and connects to the extended contours of universality. It becomes everyone’s business, leaving no one behind.
Locating Creative Communications: Awareness, Relatability and Reach
APFF believes that contextualization of meta-data is as much important for effective communication as much as localization of global goals are important for any meaningful delivery of development dividends. Policy makers have argued that, “we will only deliver on the SDGs if people know about the goals, demand action, and hold their leaders to their promises.”
From the communication perspective, delivery of development outcomes would largely be determined by the level of awareness, relatability, reach and influence towards global goals. Therefore, creative communications should be aimed at increasing awareness, explaining relatability, enhancing outreach and influencing investments towards Global Goals at immediate locality and beyond. Global Goals are a universal agenda, requiring progress at home and abroad. Experts have suggested that, “our communication should lead to developing political will, involving people to act for themselves locally, and aiming for the goals to become a universal reference guide.”
APFF is seeking to engage creative community of Asian region including passionate storytellers, filmmakers, writers, directors, actors, artists, musicians, singers, social media champions, multi-media creators to develop a communication mix on Global Goals.
Why a Film Festival on Global Goals?
Experience has shown that “the exposure one can get through film and digital content, whether it’s at a film festival, a local cinema screening, through online distribution or educational channels, is magnified compared to many traditional ways we try to impact change.” Festival exposure and awards often bring press attention, which is considered the best amplifier of messages.
A number of studies suggest that “to inspire change, people need to ‘feel’ your story.” Data, research, statistics and trend indicators are important. Data supports and drives decisions every day in what we do. But as they say data alone typically doesn’t reach the part of our brains which can reach complex issues, intuit connections, engage lateral thinking, or move one to action: the emotional brain. ‘Story’ speaks to our emotional brain. Experts suggest: “We have to change the way we communicate. All action is emotional, and in order to get an emotional connection we need to understand what it is.”
APFF considers filmmaking and cinematography as an effective medium of communication to understand, inform, inspire and generate an individual and collective will to act for behavioral and perceptual transformations. Through a thematic cinema, a diverse and larger audiences can be engaged on issues related to SDGs making a complex message simpler, communicative and inspirational. With the extended outreach of digital content, filmmaking has become an effective tool of communication which can be used to strengthen rights-based social movements and development discourses infusing a culture of transformation in societies plagued with hierarchical structures, policies and instruments.
Against this backdrop, APFF dedicates its Third Edition to the Global Goals encouraging film makers to tell stories of their own soil – narrate local stories to the global audiences and bridge the communication gap. Tell others what story you feel for. Lens your own story! You have a space to inspire, now.
APFF is aimed to celebrate 3rd Edition by encouraging production and organizing public screening of the selected Asian short films, documentaries, animations and music videos narrating the stories of struggle and transformations on any of the seventeen Global Goals. However, a particular focus would be laid on subthemes related to: ecological, social and economic development issues including poverty, hunger, health, education, global warming, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice.

PriFest ist die größte und wichtigste Veranstaltung der Filmindustrie im Kosovo. Es entstand als Notwendigkeit, die Kinokultur zurückzuholen und aufzubauen, die in vielen Jahren der Unterdrückung und des Krieges verloren ging. PriFest ist eine Gelegenheit für junge Filmemacher aus dem Kosovo, die aufgrund des Visa-Regimes große Einschränkungen haben, frei in Europa und anderswo zu reisen, Filmemacher und Experten aus der Region und Europa zu treffen, die das Festival besuchen und ihre Chancen erhöhen, ihre Filme zu vernetzen und zu koproduzieren.
Das PriFest Filmprogramm bietet dem Publikum jedes Jahr neueste Filme aus Europa, dem Balkan und der Welt, mit speziellen Programmen, die Menschenrechte, Toleranz und Akzeptanz für marginalisierte Gruppen der Gesellschaft fördern. Es ist das einzige Festival auf dem Balkan, das ein spezielles Programm von Filmen mit dem Thema LGBTQ hat, das in Zusammenarbeit mit Outfest in Los Angeles und Queer and Migration Film Festival in Amsterdam durchgeführt wird. Neben Filmen verfügt das Festival über eine sehr gute regionale Entwicklungsplattform (PriForum), die Schulungen, Vorträge, inspirierende Meisterkurse von renommierten Gästen und weitere Möglichkeiten für Filmemacher aus dem Kosovo und den Nachbarländern bietet. Es ist ein großartiges Networking-Event für Filmemacher aus dem Kosovo, der Region und Europa.
Prishtina Rendezvous bringt Distributoren und Vertriebsgesellschaften, die Filmprojekte aus der Balkanregion treffen und erkunden. Prishtina Kino Kabaret widmet sich Filmemachern aus aller Welt, die während des Festivals spontan Kurzfilme in Prishtina drehen.
Produzenten, Regisseure, Filmindustrie Experten, Castingregisseure und -agenten, Filmemacher und Schauspieler haben die Möglichkeit, sich während der Festival- und Forumtage in einem völlig unkonventionellen, freundlichen Umfeld und Netzwerk zu treffen.
Die entspannte Atmosphäre und der einfache Zugang zu den Gästen machen es zu einem einzigartigen Ort für Menschen, die ihr Netzwerk erweitern und ihre Filme einigen wichtigen wichtigen Akteuren der Filmindustrie aus Europa und der Region zeigen möchten.
Bis heute wurde PriFest von Herrn Paul Haggis (kanadischer Drehbuchautor und Regisseur), Frau Vanessa Redgrave (britische Schauspielerin), die auch Präsident unseres Honorary Board ist, Stephen Frears (britischer Regisseur), Joshua Marston (amerikanischer Regisseur), Franco Nero (italienischer Schauspieler), Eva Orner (australischer Produzent), Gideon Burkhard (deutscher Schauspieler), Samuel Maoz (Izraeli Regisseur), Danis Tanovic (bosnischer Regisseur), Velibor Topic (bosnischer Schauspieler), Jasmila Zbanic (bosnische Regisseurin), Mirjana Karanovic (serbische Schauspielerin) und andere wichtige Gäste.
Wir denken gerne, dass PriFest ein echtes Instrument der kulturellen Diplomatie für ein neues Land wie das Kosovo ist, um sich der Welt im bestmöglichen Licht zu präsentieren.
Last but not least haben wir sehr coole Partys elektronischer Musik mit internationalen und lokalen DJs, tolle Musik, tolle Bars zum Abhängen, und vor allem gutes Essen und viel Alkohol zu sehr günstigen Preisen. Kosovo und Prishtina macht Spaß zu besuchen, denn 65% unserer Bevölkerung sind unter 25 Jahre alt!

The Georgia Shorts Film Festival is a theatrical screening event in Atlanta for independent films of all genres. The Houston Comedy Film Festival is a unique forum for international independent filmmakers to showcase their Comedy Feature Length and Short Films in Houston, Texas. The 10th Houston Comedy Film Festival will take place April 13th, 2019 featuring films from multiple countries around the world.
Horror Films in Hotlanta, is a horror film festival in Atlanta, Georgia. This annual event showcases horror films from around the world. Atlanta has a great film scene in general, but also a dedicated horror film community that is eager to see new films. All flavors of horror are accepted including creatures, suspense, vampires, zombies, psycho killers, dark comedy, animation and other horrific situations that will make our audience jump. We've recruited 12 judges in the Atlanta area that are ready to watch every minute of every film submitted. We are also looking for horror film screenplays and hope to recognize exceptional work that can one day be produced into a short or feature film.
