Cineastas que recebem Prêmios do Grande Júri, bem como várias Seleções Oficiais, recebem entrevistas no podcast “Discover Indie Film” com o programador chefe Jeff Howard. Isso permite que os cineastas falem sobre seu trabalho e sua história mais extensivamente do que um festival de perguntas e respostas permite. Em 2019, a série de TV “Discover Indie Film” estreou no Amazon Prime Video. Esta série é uma antologia de curtas-metragens selecionadas dos cineastas que entrevistou no podcast.

New York City Independent Film Festival (NYCIndieFF) will hold a physical festival this year. We will celebrate the Independent Filmmaker, documentaries, short and feature-length films and animation. KloosterKino is the place to be for animated shorts in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Three times a year we show the best animated shorts from all over the world in a friendly setting. The screenings take place in a historic cloister, which dates back to 1909, and are not subject to admission.
KloosterKino shows work by young filmmakers, but also pays attention to classic animated film. Throughout the year we also work with other festivals and cultural organizations to arrange screenings of animated shorts.
But why animated shorts? Well, first of all, because we love them! But also because too few animated shorts are shown theatrically in the Netherlands. KloosterKino wants to show animation in all its diversity: from stop-motion to CGI, from narrative to abstract, homegrown and from far away. In doing so, we hope to aid in the diffusion of the artistic animated short.
We intend to be an alternative to the larger animation festivals by offering screenings which are both accessible and challenging. We stand for high quality animated film in welcoming surroundings. Our target audience is not just the animation aficionado, but also those who normally don’t watch animation, but are open to a surprising and stimulating program of films.

The Mediterranean Film Festival (MedFF) is an online festival that rewards every month the best for each category. Its objective is to promote independent films and emerging artists by making them competing with more established ones.
The MedFF born to George Beach (Fontane Bianche) in the beautiful and charming town of Syracuse (Italy). MedFF means freedom, typical of maritime cities, every participant can submit his work whatever it is.

Após nove edições de muito sucesso, o FESTIVAL DE CINEMA CURTA CABO FRIO alcança a maturidade, cresce e expande suas fronteiras, transformando-se num festival regional. Tudo isso sem perder o charme que sempre o acompanhou.
Atento às grandes transformações que sempre ocorrem nesta área o Curta Cabo Frio inova mais uma vez, e apresenta a Mostra Competitiva de Longas-Metragens realizados em formato digital, trazendo para cá os grandes questionamentos do mercado acerca do futuro do cinema.
Serão diversos locais de exibição e expectativa total de público de 10.000 pessoas, nos 7 dias de festival. Números que fazem do Curta Cabo Frio, o maior evento de audiovisual do interior do estado.
Com o objetivo de expandir o meio cinematográfico e audiovisual na região o festival realizará mostras itinerantes em bairros e escolas municipais da cidade, exibindo filmes para todos e proporcionando com isso a descentralização da cultura.
Visando facilitar a participação da população local na produção de vídeos temos a mostra competitiva para curtas produzidos em câmera de celular e câmera fotográfica, novas mídias que tornam possível que o realizador amador faça o seu próprio cinema.

The first AfryKamera Film Festival was organized by FilmGramm Foundation in cooperation with the South African Embassy during the months of April-June 2006. It aimed to use cinematography to bring Africa to the attention of the Polish public. The 1st AfryKamera premiered in Warsaw and also ran in Krakow, Poznan, Lodz, Torun and Konin. The unbelievable media interest and good ticket sales during the first festival in 2006 confirmed our belief that Africa is a theme of immense interest to a growing number of people. Since the very 1st edition, AfryKamera has been well covered in the Polish media, which confirms the great marketing potential of such an event for Africa in general, as well as, for sponsors and patrons.
As it stands AfryKamera is the first African Film Festival in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the largest African-themed event in Poland and the wider region.
AfryKamera has managed to occupy a niche in the film festival market – although there are many international film festivals, they generally show a limited range of African films. AfryKamera is therefore the only festival in Poland dedicated purely to films from the continent. In the past few years the festival has decided to explore new avenues not only in the art of cinematography, but also in the presentation of African art, music, and culture.
The main events of the African Film Festival AfryKamera take place in Warsaw, Poland, traditionally in either Kino Luna or Kinoteka, the capital city's premier arthouse cinemas. The event in 2018 will last 10 days and presents 15-25 full length features and documentaries as well as some 20 short films from around the continent and from the African diapora. The key motto of the festival is "Made in Africa", as the focus is put on the quality of moviemaking on the continent and the enhanced capacity to make world-class movies.
A associação “Le Ali di Icaro”, uma organização de promoção cultural e social com sede no Valdarno de Arezzo, organiza a sétima edição do Festival de Cinema Wag, que será realizada em dezembro 2019 em Terranuova Bracciolini (AR) no Auditório "Le Fornaci” (Via Vittorio Veneto 19).

Este ano o traço de união das noites de projeção é o tema de “O encontro”, entendido em seus múltiplos significados: “encontro” como o início de uma relação entre pessoas que, inevitavelmente, desenvolvem seu relacionamento crescendo juntos; “Encontro” como partilha de culturas, com quais barreiras geográficas e étnicas são superadas para alcançar um objetivo comum; “Encontro”, finalmente, como ponto de chegada, o objetivo final de uma jornada criativa amadureceu ao longo do tempo.
Cada diretor do Festival terá a oportunidade de compartilhar seu “encontro” pessoal com o público de Le Fornaci, que pode ser um ponto de viragem em sua carreira cinematográfica ou, mais geralmente, na vida.
Após o extraordinário sucesso repetido por seis edições, o Júri da Juventude, composto por meninos e meninas, embelezou a competição do Wag Film Festival.

Submissions for the 14th Festival delle Terre – International Audiovisual Award of Biodiversity - are now open. Centro Internazionale Crocevia is pleased to announce that the 14th edition of Festival delle Terre will take place in the wonderful location of Cinema Trevi, in Rome from 30 November to 3 December 2017. The Festival will be held in partnership with the National Film Library.
The Festival showcases each year in the two main section (in competition – out of competition) a wide selection of documentaries, animation and investigation movies. The purpose of the event is to give voice to farmers, local communities, indigenous and people who fight for land’s rights all around the world. The festival promote through the documentary a better understanding of the following issues: biodiversity, indigenous people, land’s rights, contemporary migrations, food sovereignty.
O Festival Internacional de Cinema “La Picasa” será realizado na cidade de Cinco Saltos (Río Negro, Argentina), nos dias 20, 21, 22 e 23 de março de 2025. O Festival é organizado pela equipe do Picasa, organizações sociais da região e com a colaboração da Província de Río Negro. In order to spread the work of film students, creating audiovisual workshops in public high schools and promote the screening of short films among the general public, we present the film festival "FECIN. From school to school. Film School Fest".
