FICC – Pitch SHOWCASE is the Cerdanya Film Festival’s professional pitching and networking program in Spain, created for emerging audiovisual projects seeking to present their work to leading national and international producers and industry professionals. The initiative combines one-to-one meetings with producers and public pitching sessions designed to foster partnerships and co-production opportunities.

The call is open to international fiction, documentary, and animation projects, including feature films, short films, series, and transmedia productions. Selected teams take part in an on-site pitching event and professional networking activities as part of the festival’s industry program.

For the 2026 edition, the submission deadline is July 10, 2026. The Cerdanya Film Festival will take place from August 1 to August 16, 2026, with Pitch Showcase activities held within the festival’s professional industry program.

The Canary Islands, in Spain, due to their location and their history, are a natural bridge between Europe, Africa and America. For this reason, MiradasDOC Market has been, for years, a benchmark for documentary film professionals who look to the south and especially to these geographical areas.

At MiradasDoc Market you will find:

-Pitchings (General presentation of projects)
-One to one pitchings, an individual face to face between producers and buyers
-Video library (exclusive access for buyers and distributors)
-Catalog with projects in development and already completed.
-Conferences and workshops of the sector.

Emergente! Cine Lab 2025 is now open for its ninth edition, aimed at emerging Spanish-speaking filmmakers developing their first or second professional short film. Projects in fiction, documentary, animation, or experimental genres are welcome, provided they are still in the development stage and have international co-production potential.

Applications must be submitted through Festhome with a modest entry fee, adapted for both individual professionals and production companies in Spain and abroad. A full script is mandatory, along with a dossier of up to 15 pages including synopsis, creative statement, production and financing proposal, schedule, budget, and distribution plan. Optional materials such as teasers, stills, or a video pitch are also accepted.

The program takes place online in October, followed by an in-person forum on November 4th and 5th in Madrid. Between six and twelve projects will be selected, with at least 50% reserved for those led by women. Selected teams will receive professional mentoring, pitch their projects to potential co-producers and industry stakeholders, and compete for cash prizes and international development opportunities.
