The Viewster Online Film Fest (#VOFF) is an international online event that attracts, displays and rewards features, short films, series, web-series and documentaries that are not always as famous as they should be. It’s a community moderated contest where the public audience will create a shortlist out of all qualified entries.
Essentially the Viewster community and your fans will watch, share, discuss and vote for their favorite entries. They will help to curate the entries with at least the top ten moving onto the finals. Now in its 16th year, the OJAI FILM FESTIVAL continues to grow in importance and prestige as one of the country’s premier destination festivals. The seven-day event has a reputation for showcasing the best new films from emerging and established filmmakers, and has helped launch a number of careers over the last decade. Since 2000, 14 alumni have received Academy Award nominations, two have won an Oscar, and numerous others have gone on to gain distribution and win prestigious awards.
The festival makes the most of its unique location, only 75 miles from Hollywood - yet comfortably removed from the typical industry hustle and bustle. With its relaxed atmosphere and breathtaking beauty, Ojai is an ideal spot for filmmakers to mingle with visiting industry guests, artistic colleagues, and distributors.
Among other perks, attending filmmakers receive free lodging and passes to the Ojai Film Festival's Awards Ceremony, where winning filmmakers are presented with several prizes, including trophies, cash awards, best-of category honors, and a Panavision camera rental package worth $60,000 USD for the Best Student Film.
Anibar International Animation Festival is the only event of the kind in Kosova, and one of the greatest events in the country. Since the beginning, the festival is organised and held in various settings in the city of Peja.
Anibar screens animated films coming from different places around the world, that in five cinemas, three of them set outdoors. Except the screening of the films during the festival, workshops, lectures, debates and additional daily activities (concerts and camping) are organized.
Year by year, the festival endeavors screening qualitative films, in both, technical and artistic aspect of the view. The selection of entries is made in accord with a criteria deriving from a limited staff of professionals who aim balancing the audience, artistic reviews and the market.
Anibar has also socially influenced the youth community in Peja, and further, enclosed with the film screenings and other events, before, during and after the festival, a wide group of youngsters are engaged in helping and working with the idea and preparations of the festival, meanwhile they gain an experience which as a matter has been truly acknowledged by a vast support of different local and national institutions (private and public).

Entre nuestras actividades más emblemáticas es el Festival internacional de cine Polo Sur Latinoamericano en Punta Arenas que ha brindando un evento comunal de exitoso resultado, de gran prestigio nacional e internacional, y que se enmarca todos los años en los festejos municipales del Carnaval del Invierno o en dicha estación es un Festival No competitivo.
El Festival es un referente en la zona, y tiene un importante compromiso social, artístico y cultural.
La 15° edición del Festival de Cine Estudiantil de Uruguay (FENACIES) abrió sus inscripciones el 1° de abril de 2025, y permanecerán abiertas hasta el 10 de junio. Como cada año, todos los estudiantes del mundo (desde Primaria hasta Universidad) podrán inscribir sus cortometrajes de manera totalmente gratuita, que luego serán exhibidos en Montevideo del 8 al 14 de septiembre.
FENACIES es una organización sin fines de lucro fundada en el 2011 que comenzó con la iniciativa de crear un festival de cine específicamente para jóvenes, en donde la competencia sea justa y se valore la creatividad y el esfuerzo de ellos.
Desde un principio el Festival fue Declarado de Interés Educativo por el Consejo de Educación Primaria, de Interés Cultural por el Ministerio de Educación y Cultura, y de Interés Turístico por el Ministerio de Turismo y Deporte. Además, desde 2015 cuenta con el Auspicio Institucional de la UNESCO.
El principal objetivo del festival es fortalecer la educación audiovisual en los más jóvenes, y que a través de la realización de cortometrajes puedan expresar sus ideas para que luego se puedan ver reflejadas en la pantalla grande.
Durante la semana del festival se van exhibir los cortometrajes que queden seleccionados. El domingo 14 de setiembre se darán a conocer los ganadores en la ceremonia de clausura.
Detroit’s Trinity International Film Festival. The TI Film Festival has hosted industry professionals locally and nationally to share their knowledge and expertise in various workshops and industry discussions. Special guests have included famed Actress and Producer, Tangi Miller, Syndicated Radio Host and Film Producer, Russ Parr, Former BET Executive Producer, Ralph Scott, currently with the Aspire Network (Owned by Magic Johnson), film segment producer/head of production for more than 100 episodes of SNL, Tanya Ryno and Writer, Director, Qasim Basir, “Destined,” and Actress/Singer Deborah Joy Winans of the acclaimed TV series “Greenleaf,” which airs on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network.
The highlight of this event over the years has been all of the innovative work we've showcased by indie filmmakers and our audience that supports Detroit's TI Film Festival.

El Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre es el único festival especializado en cine fantástico y bizarro que se hace en Argentina. Es una muestra orientada básicamente a producciones independientes y de bajo presupuesto.
Su concreción surgió naturalmente, a partir de la creciente realización en Argentina de films de estos géneros. Generalmente realizados en video y en forma ultraindependiente, estas películas no lograban hacerse un lugar en los principales festivales cinematográficos locales. Por eso los realizadores de muy interesantes largos, medios y cortometrajes debían conformarse con unas pocas proyecciones autogestionadas. Esto es porque el fantástico es aún considerado en ciertos círculos como un “género menor”.
Por eso se hizo imperiosa la necesidad de reunir bajo un mismo ámbito a películas con las mismas problemáticas de distribución, para que pudieran acercarse a un público común.
La primera edición del BARS se llevó a cabo en diciembre de 2000 en el auditorio de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de Universidad de Buenos Aires. Si bien fue un espacio limitado, sirvió como punto de partida que año tras año iría aumentando. Se pudieron ver películas como Plaga Zombie (Hernán Sáez y Pablo Parés) o El Planeta de los Hippies (Ernesto Aguilar) y varios cortometrajes.
Para el 2001 se cambió de escenario. El Centro Cultural San Martín fue un importante marco para el crecimiento del festival. Con poquísima promoción se logró atraer a más de 600 espectadores, destacándose films como Fanáticos (Mariano Cattaneo e Ygnacio Cervio) y Nunca Asistas a este tipo de Fiestas (Hernán Sáez y Pablo Parés).
El 2002 fue el salto más importante del festival, ampliando temáticamente la programación y logrando una notable repercusión en la prensa y el público, hasta el punto de que en el mismo espacio que la edición anterior se logró triplicar el número de espectadores, llegando a superar los 1800. Entre los films proyectados se encuentran Plaga Zombie: Zona Mutante (Hernán Sáez y Pablo Parés) y Attack of the Killer Hog (Agustín Cavalieri y Marcos Meroni).
En el 2003 llegó la definitiva consolidación del festival, estrenándose siete largometrajes locales, -Run Run Bunny! (Mad Crampi), Tico tico (Marcelo Domizi), Baño de Sangre (Paula Pollacchi), Mala Carne (Fabián Forte), Ruta hacia la muerte (Francisco de Lezica) y Vacaciones en la tierra (Sebastián de Caro)- y preestrenándose otros tantos largometrajes de países como EE.UU., Japón, España, Francia e Italia. Se proyectaron más de 80 cortometrajes y las secciones retrospectivas estuvieron pobladas de clásicos en 35mm. Se destacó especialmente la recuperación del film argentino El Hombre Bestia (Camilo Zaccaría Soprani, 1934), la primer película fantástica local, que nunca se había estrenado en Buenos Aires. Casi 5000 espectadores demostraron el innegable crecimiento del festival.
Para la quinta edición (2004) se sumaron secciones competitivas tanto para corto como para largometrajes y se utilizaron las 3 salas del complejo Tita Merello en simultáneo, triplicando la cantidad de horas de proyección.
A partir del año 2008 el BARS se muda nuevamente, esta vez a la calle peatonal Lavalle, al cine Monumental, copando el subsuelo con sus dos salas.
El año 2009 fue de suma importancia para el festival, ya que no sólo fue su décimo aniversario, sino que también obtuvo récord de público con más de 7.000 tickets vendidos (aproximadamente 12.000 visitantes!). Se preestrenaron 4 largometrajes de circuito industrial: “Aparecidos”, “Terror en la Antártida”, “Cabeza de pescado” y “Lo siniestro”. Integraron la programación 11 películas argentinas; destacadas figuras conformaron el Jurado (Gustavo Mosquera, Cristian Bernard, Federico Wiemeyer y Gabriel Patrono entre otros). Se llevó a cabo el primer Zombiefest (convocatoria a cortos realizados durante la Zombiewalk -caminata zombie-) y se estrenó un documental de 95 minutos relatando la trayectoria de cine de género local en los primeros 10 años de festival.
El año 2010, superó a las ediciones anteriores en público, batiendo un nuevo récord de espectadores. El jurado también contó con diversos e importantes representantes del medio (Horacio Maldonado, Diego Trerotola, Javier Diment, Leo González). En el segundo aniversario de la patria, se reestrenó en 35mm “La sonámbula” de Fernando Spiner, película rodada en 1997, que se atrevió a imaginar a la Argentina del Bicentenario. Además la programación contó con 12 largometrajes Argentinos, 3 pre-estrenos internacionales y más de 130 cortos nacionales y del exterior.
En el año 2011, se celebró la doceava edición y nuevamente el récord de público fue batido (más de 10.000 tickets emitidos!). Se sumó una tercer sala del Complejo Monumental Lavalle, con lo que la programación aumentó significativamente. Estrenos de todas partes del mundo, Bolivia, Guatemala, Israel, Croacia, Costa Rica, Japón, Italia y preestrenos de títulos como “Attack the Block”, la francesa “Livide”, “La Profecía del 11-11-11″ y la nacional “Plaga Zombie: Zona Mutante: Revolución Tóxica” dando cierre a la más importante trilogía local. 17 películas Argentinas, por lo que una nueva sección “Panorama Nacional” fue inaugurada. Nuevamente alrededor de 120 cortometrajes en Competencia y en las ya clásicas funciones temáticas: zombies, bizarro, psicho killers, clase Z, etc. Conformaron el jurado Nahuel Pérez Bizcayart, Mariano Cattaneo, Sebastián “Berta” Muñiz, Sebatián Rotstein, y la grata presencia internacional de los directores del festival hermano Fantaspoa.
Se llevaron a cabo 8 charlas temáticas, entre ellas la presentación de dos libros de FanEdiciones y una masterclass dictada por Fede Álvarez, director uruguayo quien dirigirá la nueva Evil Dead, apadrinado por Sam Raimi. Los 7 días de duración del festival fueron variados e intensos, demostrando el gran crecimiento perpetrado por el Festival a través de sus 12 años de trayectoria.
Este año, tendrá lugar la 13va edición! En el año 2012, el fin del mundo, tendremos un festival apocalíptico y lleno de sorpresas para todos los gustos!
El BARS fue declarado de interés por el Instituto Nacional de Cinematografía y Artes Audiovisuales, auspiciado por el Museo del Cine de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires y declarado de Interés Cultural por la Legislatura de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.
Estas instituciones han comprendido que este festival es el único espacio para un tipo de cine que tradicionalmente ha sido olvidado.
Indudablemente el Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre, un festival especializado que ya se ha convertido en un referente para la producción nacional de ciencia ficción, terror y fantasía.

The Lahore International Children’s Film Festival is a project of The Little Art. It's an an annual event to showcase the best of local and international films made by, for or about children and young people. The Festival was started in 2008, and has completed its 9 seasons successfully and has reached to nearly 451,550 audiences.
Aiming at education as well as entertainment, the film festival is dedicated to promote the culture of film watching, media literacy and alternative learning among children and young people. Each year, the festival brings some of the best international films to Pakistan to promote, peace, creativity, social awareness, world cultures and the arts.
The Festival reaches to nearly 50,000 children and young people each year, from urban to rural areas. The festival defines “children and young people” as its primary beneficiaries, irrespective of their gender, social status, class, education or income level.
The festival has an inclusive approach to involve marginalized and less privileged children as its audience. We collaborate with NGOs and community organizations to show the world's best films to out-of-school and marginalized children across Pakistan.
2018 is the 10th season of the Festival and will take place in Lahore, Pakistan in October 2018.

Attention to all film talents: From 21 November 2017 until 31 January 2018, filmmakers will have the chance to apply for the LET’S CEE Short Film Competition 2018. Not only are two main prizes waiting to be won, moreover, ten finalists will receive an invitation to participate in the second edition of the LET’S CEE Talent Academy in Vienna!
Between 21 November 2017 and 31 January 2018, filmmakers up to the age of 35 from Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus region, Turkey and Austria will have the possibility to submit their short films to the Short Film Competition of the LET’S CEE Film Festival 2018.
However, filmmakers of all ages and from all over the world are welcome as well to send in thematically fitting contributions. Due to the festival’s geographical focus on CEE though, these short films will not be included in the main Short Film Competition, but will very well have the chance to win the Audience Award in the Short Film category and be screened at the festival in the section Short Films | Out of Competition. We furthermore cordially encourage international makers of virtual reality films, 3D productions and avant-garde pieces to apply as we will be offering these genres a stage at our festival as well.
The theme of the Short Film Competition 2018 is TOGETHER OR APART.
Great Britain voted for the Brexit last year and in doing so decided against a EU membership; most recently thousands of Catalan people went to the streets demanding independence from Spain; under the presidency of Donald Trump, the USA is seeking to withdraw from the Paris climate protection agreement and renegotiate various other commercial treaties – these are only three of many examples demonstrating the recent shift of the political mood in numerous countries. A growing migratory pressure, an increasing gap between the rich and poor, as well as justified and unsubstantiated fears – of the consequences of digitalisation, of the loss of jobs and stability and of social change – have discredited globalisation and encouraged a comeback of nationalist and isolationist tendencies, which seemed utterly unfathomable only a few years ago. Even on a national scale, societal cohesion appears to be threatened more and more. How does the growing division of society influence both the community and individuals? Will political agitation, hatred, egotism and greed for profit become the new normal? Well, the situation is critical, but not hopeless, neither on an international nor a national level. There are still representatives of the civil society who make no effort to surrender to the threatening eroding solidarity. Fortunately, there are numerous instances proving how people still advocate for the poor and disadvantaged with great optimism, dedication and empathy – people who rather pay attention to what we have in common instead of what keeps us apart.
The competition’s theme, TOGETHER OR APART, may be manifested in the submitted material in various manners and methods. Interpersonal aspects, such as family and relationship dramas, trials and tribulations, moments of success and happiness or the joint overcoming of challenges can be taken into account just as well as social, political, juridical and/or cultural matters. In other words: everything is possible, as long as it touches on the topic and is done well!
An advisory board chaired by the renowned Austrian-Iranian filmmakers Arash T. Riahi and Arman T. Riahi will choose the best contributions from the submissions for the LET’S CEE Short Film Competition. The short films, which will be screened out of competition, will be selected by the Bosnian-Dutch producer Denis Mujović and festival director Magdalena Żelasko.
After the presentation of the participating productions at the festival, an international jury will decide on the winner of the competing short films and, thus, who will be awarded the main prize – 1,500 Euro and a Urania statuette – at the Awards Ceremony in the Urania Cinema on 20 April 2018. The remaining short films presented during the festival will have, without exception, the chance to win the 1,500 Euro Audience Award in the category Short Film.
All filmmakers who will take part in the main Short Film Competition will additionally profit from their participation. At the expense of the festival, one of the involved filmmakers of each short film will be invited as an official guest*) to Vienna in order to present their work. Those persons will, furthermore, have the opportunity to join the second edition of the LET’S CEE Talent Academy.
15 remaining free seats for the Talent Academy will be filled by Out-of-Competition filmmakers. The most important items on the one-week Academy agenda include the attendance of LET’S CEE Master Classes and LET’S CEE Industry Days, the collaborative finalisation of a short film about Vienna, and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pitch a film idea to Raindance film festival director Elliot Grove (and win big!) at the Pitching Competition. Of course, all invited filmmakers will enjoy several Get-togethers, where they can get in touch with successful distributors, directors, producers, actors etc., exchange experiences and new ideas and thus strive to new projects and international collaborations. In order to enable as many filmmakers as possible to visit LET’S CEE and present their work to the festival audience, all participants of the section ‘Short Films | Out of Competition’ will receive free festival accreditations and discounts for the official hotel partner on request.
DoKer fue creado hace 9 años para traer maravillosas películas documentales independientes de todo el mundo a la audiencia rusa y proporcionar una plataforma de discusión para autores, expertos y espectadores.
Los principios de DoKer son:
- Cuando decimos «película documental» ponemos el énfasis en «película».
- Hay innumerables formas de hacer un documental, pero creemos que tiene que ser dramático e interesante.
- La imagen y el sonido son tan importantes para los documentos como para las películas de ficción. El lenguaje cinematográfico es universal, y lo usamos para contar nuestras historias.
Nace en el año 2009 con el objetivo de Visibilizar y fomentar las manifestaciones artísticas, cinematográficas y las identidades culturales de la Región. Promoviendo la permanencia de las culturas y fortaleciendo las políticas culturales de la localidad como mecanismo de participación ciudadana y comunitaria; apoyando de esta manera el desarrollo, exhibición y difusión del cine y las artes visuales en el municipio de Guadalajara de Buga y el Valle del Cauca; planteando diálogos entre las diversas expresiones del arte en la actualidad, así como sus mecanismos de participación principalmente en la Población juvenil. Este festival busca generar espacios de discusión, creación artística y audiovisual de manera participativa.
El festival se convierte en el primer evento de su tipo en este territorio, para la exhibición, formación, fortalecimiento y construcción colectiva en el tema del Cine y las artes Visuales.
Chulpicine nació como una iniciativa en el año 2002 con la primera edición del festival de cine infantil y juvenil en la ciudad de Quito, la acogida de este proyecto hace que Chulpicine se constituya legalmente en junio del 2004 como una fundación cultural y educativa que, a través de herramientas audiovisuales, desarrolla propuestas de fortalecimiento de la participación, la apropiación de espacios públicos, la construcción de ciudadanía y el reconocimiento de la diversidad cultural.
¿Por qué herramientas audiovisuales?
El cine es arte, lenguaje y medio de comunicación, una herramienta fundamental al momento de compartir o crear conocimiento, es transmisor de sentimientos, actitudes, historias y formas de vida que generan identificación, rechazo y/o cuestionamiento. Esta experiencia individual y colectiva, al sumársele una metodología de visionado, articula procesos de análisis, reflexión y debate.
Visión
Chulpicine parte del principio de que la educación, la comunicación y la cultura son factores fundamentales y esenciales, que deben ser tomados en cuenta y articulados en todo proceso colectivo que tenga como objetivo el desarrollo humano.

Desarrollar y perfeccionar metodologías y herramientas de intervención social eficaces, eficientes y sostenibles, para ser replicadas por diversos actores sociales y comunitarios.

Se lleva a cabo a través de la implementación de metodologías mediante talleres dirigidos a instituciones, organizaciones comunitarias, educadores o promotores sociales con el fin de formar y capacitar en diferentes áreas relacionadas con el audiovisual, la comunicación, y el uso del internet como herramientas de educación y de intervención social.

• Festival de Cine Infantil y Juvenil: Propuesta cinematográfica y audiovisual de entretenimiento y educación no formal, masiva y gratuita, dirigida a las familias.
• Identidad Cultural: Conceptualización y producción de programas de intervención para el rescate de patrimonio intangible y la apropiación de espacios públicos a través de actividades lúdicas.
• Actividades de sensibilización: Ejecución de acciones para la intervención en diversas temáticas como equidad de género, derechos humanos, prevención de violencia, identidad, medio ambiente, prevención de discriminación.
