Residencia Feratum 2025 is an intensive lab for developing feature-length genre screenplays (horror, sci-fi, fantasy, thriller, dark comedy, etc.). It will take place in person from July 16 to 20, 2025, at Rancho Yapalpa, located between Tlalpujahua (Michoacán) and El Oro (State of Mexico), Mexico. The call is open until May 30, 2025. Up to 18 projects will be selected to receive personalized mentorship, workshops, and talks with industry professionals. The participation fee covers tuition, mentorship, talks, and shared accommodation during the four-day residency at Rancho Yapalpa. Scripts must be between 70 and 110 pages, written at least 80% in Spanish, and submitted under a pseudonym. Selected projects may access awards and support, including participation in Sitges FanPitch 2025 and the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) 2026.

RESIDENCIA FERATUM
The Huesca International Film Festival launches the first edition of Pitching HIFF, a call for emerging filmmakers residing in Spain with short films in development (not completed). The aim is to connect new talent with producers interested in supporting short films. Projects can be fiction, documentary, non-fiction, or animation, up to 30 minutes long. Submission is free via Festhome until May 6, 2025.
Selected projects will be presented in a pitching session (10 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A) on June 11, 2025, either in person or online, during HIFF’s 53rd edition. Required materials include a dossier, CV, director’s statement, and script or treatment. Selected projects receive a diploma and exposure to producers.

PITCHING - Festival Internacional De Cine De Huesca
During the workshop, the initial idea and motivation, point of view, narrative structure and creative vision of the projects under development will be worked on, with the aim of promoting their insertion in the national and international market. One of IndieLab's priorities is to work on projects whose characters or themes belong to or are related in some way to diverse/minority identity groups, in order to foster dialogues about inclusion and a better representation of these characters in the cinema.

Indie Lab - Industry
The Work in Progress HIFF 2025 is an initiative by the Huesca International Film Festival aimed at supporting Ibero-American short films in advanced post-production stages. It provides visibility, creative, and industrial support to projects in the editing or finalization phase. Eligible films must be no longer than 20 minutes, not yet released in commercial theaters or festivals, and must be from Ibero-American countries.
Selected projects will receive tailored feedback, industry presentations, and one-on-one meetings with post-production, distribution, and programming experts. The winner will receive the FESTHOME Award for one year of festival distribution, including fee waivers for submissions through the FESTHOME platform. The CHEMISTRY Award offers post-production support and deliverables from the Mexican post-production house CHEMISTRY.
The deadline for submission is May 12, 2025, and selected projects will be announced by the end of May. The presentation of the projects will take place on June 11, 2025 during the festival.

PITCHING - Festival Internacional De Cine De Huesca
DocuLab: Documentary Lab is an industry program of the Guadalajara International Film Festival, aimed at promoting the development of Ibero-American filmmakers and their documentary films in the editing stage, through in-depth analysis and discussions with experts in the genre.
For its fourteenth edition, DocuLab returns in person, continuing its role as a fundamental training space for the non-fiction genre in Ibero-America.
