CALL FOR ENTRIES MICMXIFF7
The INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL MICMXIFF invites producers and directors from Mexico, and the world to register their films for the seventh edition that will be held from March 20 to 28, 2026.
The call opens on July 14, 2025 and closes on January 12, 2026 at 18:00 (Central Mexico Time-6 GMT).
The results will be announced in February 2026 through www.micmxiff.org and the Social networks of the Festival.
In no case will the MICMXIFF pay exhibition fees to films in official competition.
Priority will be given to national, international and world premieres.
In case of obtaining a selection in any category, it is essential to attend the festival, at least to the national competition, otherwise it will be disqualified.
Feature films completed between 2024 and 2025 will be considered.
REGISTRATION AND SELECTION
To be considered, the films must be registered as follows:
Fill out the registration form available at Festhome.
Registrations must be accompanied by digital viewing copies (screeners).
The programming team can adapt the works to a sub-category not specified in the call,
either by some pattern of genres, themes or techniques that have demand in the works
sent, for example: terror, stop Motion, horror, etc.
The presence of the filmmakers is mandatory in the cases of fiction, documentary and
animated films in competition.
The absence of the director may be cause for the project to be removed from the official
selection.
The selection of the works will be the responsibility of the festival by the programming
team and members of the pre-selection juries.
Registrations will have the following costs:
Xólotl and Axólotl section
- Feature films $15 USD.
- Short films $10 USD.
MIC North Section
- Feature films $10 USD.
- Short films $7 USD.
All materials are evaluated by a selection committee made up of specialists and people
from the guild chaired by the general management of the MICMXIFF.
The selection will be final.
It is important to send all the complete materials, trailer, technical sheet, poster, stills, film.
Send PRESS KIT including the following materials: fixed photo of the work (in jpg or tif
format at 300 dpi); synopsis of the work (English and Spanish); brief biography of the
director (English and Spanish); photograph of the director (in jpg or tif format at 300 dpi);
technical sheet with list of credits.
The registration and participation of a film implies the full acceptance of these regulations
and the dates stipulated in the Call.
JURY
The jury will be made up of recognized professionals from the film industry and the cultural field.
Its members will be nominated by the Organizing Committee.
Each institution invited by the MICMXIFF will select and nominate its representative(s).
Members of the MICMXIFF may be present at the deliberations of the juries but may not
cast a vote.
The final decision of the jury will be final. No official prize can be declared deserted.
The Best Film awards of each section cannot be declared ex aequo.
In the event that the jury decides, honorary mentions may be awarded and / or awarded to more than one film if it so decides.
The Audience Award will be awarded to the film best rated by the audience.
The public will cast their vote during the public screenings.
EXHIBITION
The Festival Management will agree on the order and date of exhibition of each work.
Registered works may be selected for out-of-competition samples.
The selected works may be part of the national and international samples in which the MICMXIFF participates during 2026.
All films selected for the MICMXIFF7 must deliver a final exhibition copy in DCP and Blue Ray digital cinema format.
For competing sections, films in Spanish must be subtitled in English; films in different languages must be subtitled in Spanish and English.
The films selected for the official competition must cover the costs by KDM, shipments and subtitles.
In no case will the MICMXIFF pay exhibition fees to films in official competition.

My First Festival #11 - Solar Edition
A film festival to imagine sustainable futures from childhood
My First Festival (MPF) is the first international film, audiovisual, and new technologies festival for children and youth in Peru. We sow a love of cinema as a tool for social transformation through audiovisual and media literacy. Working with, by, and for children, as agents of change, allows us, through a coordinating role, to contribute to the development of society.
Our cross-cutting theme is part of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), using a community-based approach to build a sustainable present and future with a positive social impact.
MPF invites you to participate in its 11th edition, which will take place throughout 2026 in different regions of Peru. Building on our first event in Lima, which will take place from February 21 to 28, 2026, both in person and virtually in public spaces and cultural centers, with an innovative proposal that includes 100% solar-powered film screenings.
The festival will reach urban, rural, and hard-to-reach areas of Peru, with open, free screenings and the active participation of children, adolescents, teachers, families, and indigenous communities.
The theme is open, and films from around the world are accepted on our platforms.
The CINALFAMA FILM OBSERVATORY, held in a historic neighborhood, emerges as a transformative cultural initiative that strengthens the community network. By showing independent films, the project not only widens access to alternative and innovative narratives but also stimulates cultural engagement among residents, fostering a sense of identity and belonging.
This regular event, which takes place at Museu do Fado Auditorium, becomes a meeting point where generations cross paths, sharing experiences and reflections that transcend mere film viewing. In addition, by being located in a neighborhood with a rich historical heritage, the observatory revitalizes the urban space, attracting visitors and enhancing the appreciation of the local heritage, generating a very positive cultural dynamic
The Cinalfama Film Observatory is a regular cinema competition in January, April, and October.
The winning films of each of the three editions (Jan, Apr, Oct), will be showcased in our annual outdoor cinema event, Cinalfama Lisbon International Film Festival, in July 2025.
The Museo do Pobo Galego (Museum of Galician People) organises the Mostra Internacional de Cinema Etnográfico - Ethnographic Film Festival. 20th Mostra de Cinema Etnográfico Museo do Pobo Galego will run 12-16 March, 2025 in Santiago

We understand ethnographic cinema in a broad sense; it refers to those productions
whose main aim is to show different aspects related to sociocultural realities as well as
a community’s way of life. It comprises films with the main focus on people, social groups and relevant historical processes that are related to anthropology and ethnography.
Getafe en Corto is a short film festival organized by Onda Vecinal Getafe, in collaboration with the Getafe City Council.

The Descubierto Film Festival emerges as a meeting point between audiences and audiovisual creators of fantastic genre cinema. It pays special attention to young audiences from decentralized areas of the La Libertad region and seeks to become a platform for stories told from different perspectives. The competitive film selections, including short and feature films, aim to gather works with fantastic themes, bold visual languages, and innovative approaches. Additionally, there will be a regional film showcase with works by local filmmakers and parallel activities designed to complement the cultural programming.

MISSION
Master of Art Film Festival is unique cultural event and the only in Eastern Europe international film festival for Documentaries on Art. It takes place in Bulgaria – Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna.
The festival focuses on different artistic approaches on Art.
Its program is dedicated to Documentary cinema that represents the artistic vision both on history of Art, Contemporary Art forms and to celebrate the multicultural diversity in our time.
Our goal is to show documentaries that manifest the talents and the creative process in the following categories:
Architecture, Design and Fashion, Art and Power, Contemporary art, Culinary art, Fine Art, Photography, Literature, Music and Dance, Theatre and Cinema.
Documentaries released after January 1, 2024 are eligible to the competition of Master of Art Film Festival.
The mission of Master of Art Film Festival is to create an alternative platform to the mass culture. We want to create an opportunity and to contribute a dialogue and cooperation between artists. The festival is the biggest forum in Eastern Europe for young documentary filmmakers, tempted to tell inspiring stories about the Art.
Master of Art Film Festival is organized by Spotlight Production Company, The National Palace of Culture and ‘Master of Art’ Foundation with the financial support of Municipality of Sofia, AURUBIS BULGARIA, Bulgarian National Film Center and etc.
The festival funds are raised by participation fees, financial subsidies, donations, sponsorship and tickets.
The 11th edition of the festival will take place in а three forms:
• Winter edition (competition) - 6 -26 February 2026 in Art cinemas in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Stara Zagora.
• Spring edition (online) - April 2026 on a special Festival geoblocked platform available only from Bulgaria
• Summer edition - July/August 2026 in open air places.

Launched in 1980, our festival, the first of its category in South Korea, has grown and evolved from the Korean Short Film Festival, to become the Busan Asian Short Film Festival in 2000 and eventually the Busan International Short Film Festival in 2010 (www.bisff.org).
Taking place late April at the Busan Cinema Center, BISFF delivers a dozen awards in three competitive sections (International Competition, Korean Competition and Operation Kino) while also presenting several curated, non-competitive sections including: Guest Country, Korean Shorts, Asian Shorts, Prism, 3D Cinema, etc.

This is our 12th Year running Jewish Film Festivals. Veteran Film Festival Directors Wendy Honig, Lesley Rich and Arleen Roberts invite you to join our new International Jewish Film Festival. We started our Jewish film adventure in 2014 at the Palm Beach International Film Festival, moving our group of dedicated screeners and patrons thereafter in 2017 to create the Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival with a commitment to grow the festival into one of the largest in the nation, and thereafter becoming the 2nd largest in the US in 2023.
WE DO NOT CHARGE A SUBMISSION FEE, UNLIKE OTHER MAJOR FESTIVALS IN FLORIDA. One of our purposes is to support filmmakers to get exposure for their films and find distribution opportunities.
We have now expanded to become a new International Jewish Film Festival that will be held in February and March with film programs planned year-round. Our large selection of exciting premiere films will be screened at Cinemark Palace 20 and Movies of Delray and Lake Worth. The Festival is a 501(c)3 charity organization formed as a celebration of Jewish / Israeli cinema. It is a gathering of filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and industry professionals who come together to appreciate and showcase the art of filmmaking.
