Terra di Siena International Film Festival, now in its 29th edition, invites directors, actors, producers, and distributors to participate in the upcoming edition of the Festival, which will be held in Siena from October 7 to October 11, 2025. The Festival aims to promote film culture, to offer a meeting moment through screening high-quality films and a dialogue between industry professionals and the public.
For this edition, the Festival Jury has chosen not to assign specific themes for the entry call. However, it wishes to remind participants that in the awards category (point 3), there are long-standing recognitions for audiovisual works that aim to raise awareness on issues such as the environment and sustainability, with an eye towards the future.

Local Shorts
Local Shorts are films created by filmmakers who reside in the DMV area (Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia). These works can be either narrative or documentary in nature and must be Under 30-Minutes in length. We are excited to showcase stories that reflect the unique perspectives and experiences of our local community.
Student Shorts (High School Level)
Student Shorts are films produced by high school students, allowing young filmmakers to express their creativity and storytelling skills. These films must be between 2-15 minutes long and can encompass any genre or subject matter. We aim to provide a supportive platform for emerging talent to share their voices and perspectives.
Narrative Shorts
Narrative Shorts are fictional films that convey a story within a shorter format, lasting between 2 - 30 minutes. These films can experiment with various storytelling techniques, genres, and themes, showcasing the creativity and innovation of filmmakers in a condensed timeframe.
Documentary Shorts
Documentary Shorts are non-fiction films ranging from between 2 - 30 minutes that explore real-life subjects, events, or issues.
These films focus on concise storytelling, offering insights or perspectives on a specific topic while engaging the audience in a meaningful way.
AI Film Festival Japan (AI-FJ) is Japan’s first international film festival dedicated to the creative collaboration between human storytellers and artificial intelligence.

Patrofest is a film festival where you can participate to see your work on the big screen and spend a relaxing time talking about cinema. We want to give a push to young authors who are taking their first steps in this world.
The festival will be held in the emblematic modernist theater "El Patronat", located in the old town of Premià de Mar.
Lived Perspectives is a film festival for short films made or co-produced by filmmakers who identify as disabled, neurodivergent, or mad. All submissions must include a short description of how your film meets the requirements.
The 3rd edition of Lived Perspectives will be open for submissions on Wednesday 24th April 2024.
Please note that the screening event will be taking place in October 2025. The submission period is longer than usual to allow our small but dedicated team to make very exciting plans for the future.

The "Horror Mountains Film Festival" stands as a vibrant annual cinematic event taking place in the picturesque city of Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico.

Mal del Cap opens the call for entries for its XI International Short Film and New Narratives Festival
Ibiza, July 21, 2025.– The Ibizan cultural association Mal del Cap, Cultura Mal Dita has opened this Sunday the call for entries for short films to compete in the XI International Short Film and New Narratives Festival “Mal del Cap, Narratives Mal Dites”, which, on this occasion, will change its format and will take place between December 2025 and April 2026.
The submission period runs from July 21 to September 1, 2025, and is open to filmmakers from all over the world. Works must be submitted in digital format and can be fiction, documentary, or animation. Selected films will be screened during April 2026 in different cultural venues across the island.
“Once again, we are looking for bold stories and ways of storytelling that break the mold, works that connect with people and are not afraid to experiment,” says Pedro López, Vice President of Mal del Cap and co-director of the event. “This festival is an open space for free creativity, for sharing and networking among the most underground proposals on the international scene.”
Once again, this festival —which started in 2014 and is one of the longest-running in the Pityusic Islands— features several competitive sections that will award 1,000 euros in prizes across the different categories: the Official Short Film Competition Section, the Youth Short Film Competition Section –awarded by young students from Ibiza–, the Sebas Parra Award for the best socially themed short –courtesy of the association La Guerrilla Comunicacional from Girona–, the Malalt Award –reflecting the wildest spirit of the association–, the Best Short Film in Catalan Award, and the Audience Award.

Cortoons Gandia is the International Animated Film Festival of Gandia, organized by Cortoons Festival, the city of Gandia, la Generalitat Valenciana, through the Institut Valenciá de Cultura (Culturarts), and the participation of Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) Campus de Gandia.

Nambrocorto is the short film festival of Nambroca, a town located in the province of Toledo, Spain. Since its creation in 2016, its main goal has been to promote artistic creation, audiovisual culture, and a love for cinema among the town’s residents and visitors, by rewarding the creativity and talent of those who participate each year in its call for entries.
What began as a local festival has evolved, thanks to the enthusiasm of the audience and the commitment of its organizers, into a cultural event with great potential. Over its nine previous editions, Nambrocorto has experienced exponential growth in the number of participants, attendees, and activities, becoming a regional reference.

Now, Festival President and Artistic Director Gabriel Daniel Dorobantu is having the pleasure of welcoming you to The Second Edition of The Moonlight Online International Film Festival which is organized and administered by the Swedish creation, production and distribution company Dorobantu Film & Television.
The Festival aims to promote original feature films and short films of high artistic quality and to support independent cinema worldwide.
In addition to the long lists of awards in the Feature Film Section and in the Short Film Section, The Moonlight Online International Film Festival is presenting the Trans-Section award Great Moonlight Award for Best Film in the Festival – which is the Festival’s supreme award (physical trophy and cash prize) and is awarded by the festival jury either to the winner of the Moonlight Online Award for Best Film in the Feature Film Competition or to the winner of the Moonlight Online Award for Best Film in the Short Film Competition.

The tradition of awarding a laurel wreath to the winner began in the Pythias at Delphi in Greece in, the 6th century BC.
They were organized in honor of the god Apollo, who usually appeared with a laurel wreath in memory of the nymph Daphne who transformed herself into a plant to escape his amorous moods. The plant was named "Daphne".
The International Film Festival of Greece opens its doors to the audience for the 7th time to present domestic and international films, videos and screenplays.
The last events of the festival took place in the center of Athens with screenings at the historic Cinema "Iris" (Cinema Sector - ΠΟΦΠΑ), and hosted short and feature films from around the world. The festival screened fiction films, documentaries and animations by Greek and foreign directors with free entrance. A significant number of films had their world, European and Greek premieres in Greece.
