The festival highlights the role of women in sports cinema by showcasing their representation in the creation, production, and dissemination of audiovisual works centered on football.

The WOMEN IN FOOTBALL FILM FESTIVAL is a space where international film productions on women's football and other related topics can come together. This is particularly important in the run-up to the 2027 Women's World Cup, which Brazil is hosting for the first time. It aims to be a true beacon for generating knowledge, providing collective support, and promoting, disseminating, reflecting on, and appreciating the football cinematography created by cis or transgender women, non-binary women, LGBTQIAPN+ women, and anyone who identify socially as a woman.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

From July 8th 2025 to September 8th 2025.

Do you remember the first film you saw on the big screen when you were a child?

For thousands of Mexican children in vulnerable situations this question has no answer. This is why Churumbela Children's Film Festival was created, inviting all Mexican and Spanish-speaking children to experience cinema in an inclusive, completely playful and entertaining environment.

The 9th Churumbela Children's Film Festival will take place in a hybrid format; where some of the activities, workshops and talks with industry professionals will occur online and some others onsite including film screenings in Mexico City and Merida City, Yucatan. It brings film culture to children and their families, specially those who are in any kind of disadvantage due to economic situation, or physical disability. The Festival enhance film as an expression tool, sense of self identity and cultural enrichment through an accesible and inclusive program.

"Colourful Mosaic" is the thematic axis of this edition, as an invitation for children to discover how the use of colour evokes feelings and sensations by building different atmospheres and unravel messages in every scene. Just like an actual mosaic art piece it is made by a variety of visual narrative elements , exploring film from a creative and sensorial perspective full of symbolisms.

This 2025 Churumbela Children's Film Festival will take place in Mexico City in October and Yucatán December Friday 5 - Sunday 7, with the support of the General Office of Cultural Promotion and Festivals of the Ministry of Culture, PROFEST 2025, The Mexican TV Cultural Channel, Canal 22 and other entities and the Mexican private initiative as well as nonprofit organizations.

The 9th Churumbela Children's Film Festival promotes creativity, dialogue, the seventh art and artistic expression as tools for social transformation, and all activities are completely free of charge.

Thanks to all the support we have received, it is possible to bring cinema to all children free of charge so that they can immerse themselves in the wonderful world of filmmaking.

The 2nd New Order Youth International Film Festival (NOYIFF)

“Reignite the Fiery Pulse of Cinema”

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, the New Order Youth International Film Festival (NOYIFF) continues its mission to empower a new generation of filmmakers and forge a vibrant creative order built upon mutual understanding, appreciation, trust, and collaboration through the art of cinema.

In its inaugural edition, NOYIFF ignited a powerful global response:

Over 5,691 short films were submitted
Representing 120 countries and regions
With over 140 official selections showcased in theatres

Involving jury members from 10+ countries, with all evaluation and commentary conducted online
This resounding participation has affirmed NOYIFF as an emerging force in the international festival landscape, one that prioritises youth, inclusivity, and innovation.

---------------------------------------------------

Our Vision: Beyond Competition

More than a contest, NOYIFF serves as a dynamic platform for young creators to explore cinematic language with boldness and imagination. We embrace artistic experimentation, diverse cultural narratives, and new forms of expression untethered by convention or borders. At our core lies a belief: the evolution of film depends on the untamed energy and vision of young filmmakers.

NOYIFF also recognises the urgency of forming long-term strategic partnerships with film schools, universities, and cultural institutions, ensuring the next generation receives not only encouragement, but also practical support—technical training, production platforms, interdisciplinary exchange, and creative incubation. We aim to build a fertile ecosystem that sustains creative growth.

---------------------------------------------------

New in 2025: Four Bold Sections for the Youth of Now

For its second edition, NOYIFF introduces four major competition sections, tailored to embrace the rapidly evolving aesthetics and concerns of young creators:

1. Main Competition
Championing narrative strength, directorial vision, and emotional resonance, this section invites short films from around the world that best exemplify cinematic excellence and innovation.

2. Antigravity|Vertical Film Section
A response to the mobile-first generation. This section celebrates vertical storytelling, challenging traditional formats and tapping into a visual language born in the palm of one’s hand.

3. Synthetic Muse|AI-Powered Storytelling Section
Exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and human creativity, this section invites works that incorporate AI in scripting, editing, animation, or concept development—heralding a new narrative paradigm.

4. The Makers|Crafts Behind the Camera
Shining a light on the unsung heroes of filmmaking—cinematographers, editors, sound designers, production designers, costume and makeup artists. This section celebrates technical and artistic brilliance behind the scenes.

---------------------------------------------------

Looking Forward: New Order, New Impact

NOYIFF is not just a festival—it is a movement. A call to youth around the world: to create, to challenge, to dream, and to define a new cinematic order.

We eagerly await the voices and visions of the second edition’s filmmakers. Whether you are building stories from your hometown, experimenting in digital realms, or dreaming of a future only you can see—your images matter. And they deserve to be seen.

Together, let us reignite the fiery pulse of cinema.
