Every year entries reveal stories about people, volunteers, who contribute to changing people’s lives within their communities and around the world.
In 2017, the theme of the festival is «Human. Action. Choice».
Festival is popular among both amateurs and professional filmmakers, concerned with solving socially significant problems worldwide. NGOs, volunteers, groups of activists and young people, interested in developing of creative potential and making our world a better place submit entries annually to the Jury of the Festival.
In June 2017, the cinematic platform was presented in the framework of the International conference EDUCATION#INFOCUS at the United Nations Office at Geneva (Switzerland). It was highly estimated by international experts, who highlighted the importance of promoting volunteer values through the language of cinematography.
ilms have always been one of the best ways to express strong feelings, both for the filmmakers and the audience, and acting as one of the most effective and communicative ways to tell messages. Through International Film Festival for Documentary, Short, and Comedy, we hope to facilitate creative filmmakers to show their artwork, encourage talented and passionate filmmakers to express their voice and to provide positive life through a laugh and meditative encouragement.
We are seeking films (both short films and documentaries) with strong voice, originality, creativity, and flowing story-telling, and produced with excellent techniques to be our showcase.
The International Film Festival for Documentary, Short, and Comedy will act as a mean to sustain and promote the continuity of creativity and artworks produced and carved by filmmakers all over the world in following their dreams to speak their story, to show real events and life, as well as to participate in the film industry.
The International Film Festival for Documentary, Short, and Comedy opens its submissions from filmmakers all over the world. We accept documentary (any length), short films, and films (any length) with comedy genres. Newcomers are welcomed. The films will be pre-selected before presented to the judging panel.
We aim to provide quality entertainment with social awareness, offering a bright and sensitive look at the world of work.
The works to be competed must tell stories related to the world of work and of the workers and their lives.
By way of example, below are four important themes and pillars from which to consider the ‘labour’ theme.
PEOPLE
Life stories where the protagonists are the workers themselves. Stories about their lives and their dreams told through intimate stories that show the contribution of each individual to their work or a project related to work and/or their place in the society to which they belong.
EDUCATION
Training contributes to improving quality of work and quality of life. Contents designed to educate that are entertaining and/or innovative formats that highlight education as a fundamental piece of individual progression in society as a whole.
INDUSTRY
The industry is the meeting place between technological and human resources. In this axis the role of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial activity, scientific and technological advances, participation of the state, the union role and human capital are evidenced. The development of industry as a path to the future of work.
SOCIAL DIMENSION
A fundamental pillar in the construction of a country, is that we understand the social aspect as the basis upon which better societies must be built. Issues such as solidarity, environmental awareness, sustainability and the care of the planet in which we live in, fundamental rights in the workplace, gender equality, inclusion, child labour, forced labour migrant labour, disability and work, and social protection among other issues.
These are all valid themes to apply for the contest.

In order to spread the work of film students, creating audiovisual workshops in public high schools and promote the screening of short films among the general public, we present the film festival "FECIN. From school to school. Film School Fest". In its second edition, we call on all directors they are regular students or carry a maximum of two years of graduates in any film school and / or audiovisual communication in chilean territory, to submit their short films and participate in the shows scheduled between 20 and 24 November 2017 at the University of Santiago, Cineteca University of Chile, House culture Violeta Parra and "Sala K" in Santiago. Como um festival impulsionado pela consciência animal e ambiental, e com a causa convidada deste ano sendo “Cinema: Liberdade de Crença, Extraterrestres e Teorias da Conspiração”, todos os projetos inscritos receberão uma Laurel de Participação, reconhecendo o valor artístico e o trabalho de cada filme, mesmo que não sejam selecionados para o programa de exibição final. Os filmes da Seleção Oficial receberão um Laurel da Seleção Oficial.
Os vencedores finais receberão a estatueta FICAA 2026, junto com louros digitais e um diploma digital.
A cerimônia final de premiação acontece em dezembro, recebendo convidados de diferentes países e regiões do México para receber suas estatuetas pessoalmente.
O “Segni nuovi” Film Culture Club, em colaboração com o “Alcamo Doc” Film Culture Club, organiza a décima quinta edição do” Cortiamo “, concurso internacional de curtas-metragens.

Cada curta-metragem poderá participar em mais de uma seção e todos os curtas-metragens submetidos participarão automaticamente na seleção do prêmio “melhor filme” e “Novos sinais”.
Somente os selecionados para o “melhor filme” também competirão pelo “prêmio público”.
The registration of a film in the competition selection process of the festival indicates the full acceptance of these bases. The organization of the Festival will resolve in an unappealable manner with respect to any matter included in this regulation or its interpretation. The sender of the film authorizes FEDOCHI to select some sequences not exceeding three minutes that can be broadcast by TV, within the framework of programs and spots that disseminate the festival.
The 14th version of the Documentary Film Festival of Chiloe will take place between November 5 and 10, 2018.

EDITA é um festival de curtas-metragens focado na transformação social. Seu objetivo é aumentar a capacidade crítica, envolver a sociedade na promoção dos direitos humanos por meio da produção cinematográfica, além de fazer com que o público sinta o chamado da mudança social.
A ASAD aspira incentivar o debate e a reflexão crítica sobre esses tópicos por meio dos trabalhos e propostas dos participantes. The 1st NYIFF will be held from November 21-24, 2017. The 4-day event will include a film competition, forum, and the film screening. Its purpose is to promote international collaborations among film producers and the people within the film industry. An estimate of 500 films will compete in the 1st NYWFF, but only 20 nominated films will be released for screening in the main hall, with a side screening of 10 invited movies in the adjoining screening halls. NYWFF encourages artists to convey different ideologies through movies to achieve a better cultural understanding and to elevate the standard of movie productions by promoting collaborations.
