La Asociación Cultural Time & Memory organiza la decimocuarta edición del Festival de Cortometrajes denominado «SHORT TO SOUTH», que se celebrará en Polla (SA), ITALIA, del 20 al 21 de junio de 2026 en el Auditorio «Holy Nicolicchio».
HollyShorts Film Festival (HSFF) is an annual short film festival showcasing the best and brightest short films from around the globe. The festival showcases the top short films produced 40 minutes or less.
The inaugural HollyShorts Film Festival took place in August '05 featured 23 short films from the U.S., UK, Poland, Canada and Thailand. The 2nd annual HollyShorts took place at Cinespace, Digital Supperclub in Hollywood, CA and featured 53 of the best short films from around the world. 13 different countries were represented. The third annual HollyShorts Film Festival took place August 10-12, 2007, drawing over $26,000 in prizes awarded. Best Short film honors went to "Songbird" Directed by John Thompson. Thompson was awarded a one week audio rental package courtesy of Action Audio and Visual, featuring sound and communications equipment rentals to utilize for his next film project. The festival featured Actor Adrian Grenier's short film "Euthanasia," a DJ performance from the legendary hip hop DJ Biz Markie and 57 short films in competition; three days of screenings, parties, insightful panels along with a slew of networking platforms for HollyShorts participants.
The 4th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival took place August 7-10, 2008 in Hollywood with top honors of Best Short Film going to “Bloom” directed Lance Larson. Larson was awarded $2000 VFX package courtesy of Clifton Post for his next project. The Best Student Short honors went to David Jibladze, for his short film “Beholden.” Jibladze took home a 5-day HVX-200, HD Camera rental package courtesy of Martini Crew Booking. Best Director went to Benedict Campbell for his short film “Lloyd Neck.” Best Director, Best Student and Best Short awards took home free Hollywood Screenwriter software from Write Brothers courtesy of Haydenfilms.
The festival’s awards ceremony and closing night reception took place in Hollywood, following a star-studded opening night celebration at the Egyptian Theatre, a music video celebration at Nacional in Hollywood and the festival’s short film competition screenings at Laemmle’s Sunset 5 Theatres. During the HollyShorts opening night ceremony on Thursday August 10, which featured appearances and short films from actors Jessica Biel, David Arquette and Josh Brolin, the festival awarded legendary filmmaker David Lynch the 2008 HollyShorts Visionary Award; Oscar winner Paul Haggis with the 2008 HollyShorts Outstanding Achievement in film award and fast-rising actress Paula Garces with the 2008 HollyShorts Future Star award.
At the HollyShorts inaugural music video competition, the festival awarded two winners for Best Music Video, “La Chica Y Su Bolsa” Directed by Daniel Campos and “Good Morning Herr Horst” Directed by Lovisa Inserra. The music video Audience choice winner went to “Temporarily In Love” Directed by Randy Scott Slavin. All HollyShorts film winners took home a free film distribution kit from Film Specific and one year premium membership to Film Specific. Winners also received free filmmaker software packages from HollyShorts sponsor Showbiz Software and will receive Stash DVD’s from sponsor Stash Media.
The 5th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival® (August 6-13, 2009) took place in Hollywood and featured a star studded, Red Carpet Opening Night Reception event at the Directors Guild of America (DGA). The festival featured participation from industry heavyweights including: Demi Moore, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Kirsten Dunst, Eli Roth, Darren Lew, Jason Biggs , Carter Smith and David Prior. The week-long festival featured screenings at the DGA, Laemmle's Sunset 5 Theatre in Hollywood and a number of industry panels and receptions at the to venues in the city.
The 6th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival® took place August 5-12, 2010 in Hollywood and featured a major opening night reception, week-long screenings of short films and feature films in Hollywood, high level industry panels, keynotes, awards and receptions for the community and filmmakers. Grand prizes were awarded for Best Short and Best Director courtesy of Company 3 valued at $20,000. Openfilm also sponsored the festival and screened their top 5 finalists for their $250,000 Get It Made Competition, at the fest. James Caan attended the opening night ceremonies and named the finalists.
The 7th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival wrapped last night with a standing room only awards ceremony at the Geisha House in Hollywood live-streamed courtesy of Dyal Productions and hosted by Actress Sheila Shah. Audience choice winners from each program will be announced later this weekend. The HollyShorts Best Overall Short Film prize, which wins a $10,000 in post production and finishing services package from Company 3, went to “Mrs. Peppercorn’s Magical Reading Room” by Mike Le Han. The HollyShorts Best Director Award which wins a $10,000 post production and finishing services package from Company 3, went to Christian Swegal, Director of “Stasis.”
Continuing the tradition of growth, the 8th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival opened at the world famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd to over 900 guests. The evening was capped off by the HollyShorts Visionary Award being given to Joe Carnahan.
The fest took place all week at the Chinese Theatre and concluded with over $50,000 in prizes and awards being given out to winners selected out of 341 projects in competition. Highlights include:

The 8th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival had the most attendance in the festival’s history. Highlights include an opening night ceremony at the history Chinese Theatre that drew nearly 1,000 attendees and fest screenings, panels and post receptions taking place in venues throughout Hollywood during the entire week. Each HollyShorts 2012 winner receives a 1st look distribution deal with the ShortsHD television channel.

The 9th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival (www.hollyshorts.com) came to a wrap with 1,000 attendees celebrating the festival’s Awards ceremony celebration at the Roosevelt Hotel Ballroom and lobby hosted by Digital LA’s Kevin Winston. The HollyShorts Best Short Film Grand Prize went to Mitsuyo Miyazaki for her short film Tsuyako. With the prize, Miyazaki takes home a $10,000 post-production and finishing services prize from Company 3. She also wins an all expense paid trip to Wellington New Zealand courtesy of Starnow to show her film there. Also taking home a $10,000 post-production prize from Company 3 for the Best Director Category was Sacha Feiner for Un Monde Meilleur (A Better World). The short film Sahasi Chori by Erin Galey took home two HollyShorts Awards, one for Best Producer and the Women in Film Director’s Award, garnering her a $5000 camera package courtesy of Martini Crew Booking.. The Method Studios Best VFX Prize went to Peter Szewczyk for Our Lady of Lourdes. With the win, Method awarded Peter with a $10,000 post prize.

Fest Sets Dates for 10th Annual Anniversary Edition
During the celebration the festival set it’s dates for next year’s festival, it’s 10th Anniversary edition. The 10th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival and Film Conference/Film Market will take place August 14-23, 2014 in Hollywood. The 9th edition of the HollyShorts Film Festival featured over 12,000 attendees with 8 days of screenings, daily networking events, panels and seminars during the HollyShorts Film Conference and Awards. 2013 Visionary Award honoree Matthew Modine closed the festival with the theatrical premiere of his collection of short films at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
The 10th Annual HSFF and Film Conference/Film Market took place August 14-23 at the world famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood and the 2nd annual HollyShorts Film Conference took place at the Roosevelt Hotel. 2014 Overall Best Short and Best Director will receive $10,000 each for post production work courtesy of Company 3. The 2014 winners of Best Music Video, Best Cinematography, and Best Commercial will each receive $5,000 for post production work courtesy of Company 3. 2014 Best Student film and Best Female Director winners will receive a $10,000 camera rental packages courtesy of Martini Crew Booking. La misión del Festival es encontrar y apoyar estudios y clubes infantiles y juveniles, que se dedican a la creatividad cinematográfica y televisiva, niños talentosos; desarrollo del cine infantil y juvenil y la televisión en Ucrania.
Los objetivos del Festival son:
— establecimiento y desarrollo de contactos entre estudios infantiles y juveniles, intercambio de experiencias y desarrollo profesional ulterior de los participantes;
— comunicación al público en general de obras y proyectos interesantes y destacados de diferentes países, presentación de las mejores prácticas mundiales en el desarrollo de la industria del cine y la televisión infantil y juvenil;
— la configuración de plataformas creativas y de comunicación para intercambiar experiencias y presentar nuevos proyectos durante el Festival y entre los tiempos del Festival;
— desarrollo personal creativo, educación de valores morales y activismo social;
— llamar la atención de las organizaciones gubernamentales, no gubernamentales y entidades comerciales sobre las cuestiones relacionadas con el desarrollo de la creatividad infantil y juvenil en pantalla, los procesos de formación de la personalidad mediante la recepción de información transmitida por los medios de comunicación electrónicos, las necesidades de los clubes creativos infantiles y juveniles; el desarrollo de niños talentosos y su futuro.
El Festival se celebra entre estudios de televisión infantil y juvenil, animación, cine y radio, clubes, grupos y autores individuales, emisoras de televisión y radio y entidades de producción creativa, directores y centros de productores, que producen programas y películas para niños y jóvenes.

Cinefilia Tanguera es un Festival Internacional & Itinerante de cortometrajes vinculados al TANGO, no competitivo.

El XV Festival Internacional de Mediometrajes LA CABINA se celebrará en València (España) del 8 al 18 de noviembre de 2022.
El 35º Festival Internacional Message to Man de películas documentales, cortas de ficción, animadas y experimentales tendrá lugar del 17 al 25 de octubre de 2025 en San Petersburgo (Rusia).
A lo largo de los años, el Festival ha acogido a destacadas figuras del cine mundial, como Werner Herzog, Ulrich Seidl, Claude Lanzmann, Isabelle Huppert, Fanny Ardant, Agnès Varda, Mira Nair, Paolo Sorrentino, Alan Berliner, Eric Roberts, Jonathan Rosenbaum, Abdellatif Kechiche, Udo Kier y muchos otros.
Con una historia que abarca tres décadas de desarrollo cinematográfico, Message to Man fue fundada en 1989 en Leningrado por el cineasta Mikhail Litvyakov, quien ahora es el presidente honorario del Festival.
En 2010, Alexei Uchitel, un reconocido director de documentales y largometrajes, asumió el cargo de presidente del festival.
El programa del Festival gira en torno a tres competiciones: internacional, nacional y experimental, que proporcionan una plataforma para que tanto largometrajes como cortometrajes compitan por el Gran Premio del Festival. Message to Man atrae cada año a miles de cinéfilos a San Petersburgo.

International Green Film Week was officially approved by SGAPPRFT (State Administration of Press Publication Radio Film and Television). Its mission is “to carry the memories via films, to protect the future via cameras”. It is a large-scale film culture event held by Chinese filmmakers to raise awareness of animal, nature and environment protection. In the Film Week, we have discussed new topics such as “Green Films Hatching”, “Green Cinema Screening”, “Green Culture Inheritance”, established a platform for international green film communication and cooperation, and recommended excellent green films and talents all over the world.
Since 2007, we have successfully hosted 7 sessions of the only animal and nature themed film festivals in China. We have gained the support from 16 countries, collected more than 2000 films from over 100 countries, and over 1000 celebrities and experts have joined our events. We have hosted special Chinese screening film sessions in USA, Canada, France, Finland and etc. We are an important force among the other film festivals in Asia.
El Festival Internacional de Cine de Nueva York (INYFF) es un Festival de PROYECCIÓN, PREMIO y DISTRIBUCIÓN. Cyprus International Film Festival (CYIFF) is holder of the EFFE label, Europe’s quality stamp for remarkable arts festivals attributed for their work in the field of the arts, community involvement and international openness. It takes place annually with live screenings and parallel events on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Cyprus but also with various partnerships at Athens, Cannes, New York and Los Angeles.
Cyprus International Film Festival (CYIFF) is under the umbrella of Cultural International Festivals -a non-profit arts organization dedicated to promoting and supporting independent films and filmmakers that embody diversity, innovation and uniqueness of vision-. The main location of the event is Nicosia the capital of Cyprus. The festival celebrates once more the rising film stars and several artistic events will take place during the festival. The Pegasus Cinema Lab workshop is very popular and we produce a short film during the Festival which will be screened at the Awards Ceremony. A Table Read with chosen scripts is held during the festival.

History: The festival was inaugurated on March 23, 2006 by the Cypriot Minister of Education and Culture Mr Pefkios Georgiades and was held in three cities, Larnaca, Limassol and Nicosia with the cooperation of K-Cineplex.
The Cyprus International Film Festival is the biggest of artistic high value independent cinema event of the whole region, spilling over Cyprus boundaries and spreading over the whole region with repercussions reaching worldwide. CYIFF is the first internationally oriented film festival which offers new and upcoming directors in multiple sectors of entertainment (such as feature films, short films, animations, music videos, dance, experimental films and video art) the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of a jury of internationally acclaimed cinema experts, directors and actors. CYIFF has a competitive section.
Films produced the last 36 months, by emerging directors are selected for the screening program.
-Women filmmakers (director and/or producer) can submit their film to compete for the Aphrodite Cinematic Award. There is no restriction regarding the production year, the genre of the film in this specific category.
-"50/50" is a category with film credits 50% men and 50% women. No restriction in genre.

La 10ª edición del PerSo — Festival de Cine Social de Perugia tendrá lugar en Perugia del 27 al 29 de septiembre y del 3 al 8 de octubre de 2024.
«Concepto». El Festival describe la complejidad de nuestro mundo a través de películas e historias que hablan de nosotros y que son conmovedoras, profundas e inspiradoras. Se seleccionan películas importantes y de alta calidad de los festivales internacionales más famosos y las presentan sus autores y protagonistas. PerSo es un festival donde el público y los artistas, directores reconocidos y jóvenes emergentes, pueden reunirse y compartir experiencias. Es un festival de diálogo sobre cine, temas sociales, investigación artística, divulgación y entretenimiento.
«El festival de un vistazo». Una ciudad, cuatro salas de cine, seis categorías de competición, el PerSo Lab tenía como objetivo desarrollar profesionalmente a jóvenes cineastas y apoyar nuevas producciones, el PerSo Award (estrenos en Italia) y Masterpieces (los mejores documentales del año), las películas proyectadas en la prisión de Perugia-Capanne, los eventos dedicados al mundo de la psiquiatría y los documentales sonoros, el PerSo Off, que hace referencia a conciertos, eventos y reuniones.
Cada edición ofrece más de 50 eventos de entrada gratuita y da la bienvenida a 70 invitados: directores, productores, jueces, celebridades, miembros del personal y voluntarios.
PerSo FF está organizado por Realmente Ngo, en colaboración con la Fundación «La Città del Sole» — Onlus, en la fascinante ciudad medieval de Perugia.
La XXI edición del REC 2025 en su sección oficial de cortometrajes de ficción se desarrollará durante el mes de agosto de 2025 en su sede habitual de los jardines del Archivo de Indianos. Durante esos tres días de proyecciones se presentarán al público los trabajos seleccionados como finalistas y se anunciarán los diferentes galardones fallados por el jurado oficial del certamen.
Siguiendo el habitual formato de años anteriores la sesiones comenzarán cuando caiga el día en la carpa que acoge el festival desde hace varias ediciones.
El Museo Romano de Oiasso y el Ayuntamiento de Irún organizan el Festival Internacional de Cine Arqueológico del Bidasoa.
El objetivo del Festival es acercar la arqueología al público en general, a través de la difusión de material audiovisual fruto del trabajo de los arqueólogos, asegurando la promoción y difusión de estas películas.
El Festival se viene celebrando desde el año 2001 y desde el año 2004 cuenta con cuatro premios: el Gran Premio del Festival, el Premio Especial del Público, el Premio Valores Educativos y el Premio Arkeolan a la Contribución a la Ciencia. Desde 2006 está dentro de Fedarcine, la red europea de Festivales de Cine Arqueológico.
Cartoon Club — Festival Internacional de Cine de Animación, Cómic y Juegos, que ya celebra su 41ª edición, es uno de los festivales más conocidos de la escena italiana.
Se trata de un espacio privilegiado para la animación, especialmente para los cortometrajes, que incluyen obras de ficción, educativas, experimentales y de infografía, con una sección completa dedicada exclusivamente a los cómics: Riminicomix.
El Festival presenta CORTOMETRAJES DE ANIMACIÓN en varias secciones:
PREMIO CARTOON CLUB, abierto a cortometrajes de animación realizados por cineastas y productoras profesionales.
PREMIO SIGNOR ROSSI, abierto a películas de animación realizadas por estudiantes de secundaria y universitarios, y por estudiantes de escuelas de cine de animación.
CARTOON KIDS AWARD, entre los títulos presentados al Cartoon Club o al Premio Signor Rossi, la dirección del Festival seleccionará, según su criterio, algunos cortometrajes de animación dirigidos a un público infantil. Un jurado compuesto exclusivamente por niños seleccionará al ganador de entre estas películas.
PANORAMA INTERNACIONAL, una sección no competitiva abierta a cortometrajes de animación europeos y no europeos.
PREMIO CARTOON JUNIOR, abierto a cortometrajes de animación realizados en talleres para niños, en Italia o en el extranjero.
Además, el festival presenta:

- una de las convenciones de cosplay más populares y entretenidas de Italia.

El festival tiene lugar en Rímini en varios lugares, desde el centro hasta la playa, en el mes de julio.
Sedicicorto International Short Film Festival es un festival de cine dedicado a los cortometrajes nacidos en 2004 y, desde entonces, se celebra cada año a principios de octubre en Italia, en el centro de la ciudad de Forlì.
The Short Film Slam es un concurso bimensual presentado por The Madlab Post que se centra en proporcionar una plataforma para que cineastas emergentes y establecidos muestren su trabajo. En cada ronda, se proyectará una selección de hasta doce cortometrajes para el público local que votará su película favorita. La película mejor valorada en las proyecciones en directo será declarada «Película del mes» durante el mes siguiente. Las películas «en competición» mejor valoradas de cada sala de proyección en directo y en línea avanzarán a la ronda final. Todos los finalistas pueden competir por un total de 1.000 dólares en premios en la ronda final y las festividades anteriores a la proyección de 2022 shnit Cinemas en Filadelfia.
Desde 2012, The Madlab Post ha promovido la divulgación y el compromiso de la comunidad a través del cine, proyectando decenas de cortometrajes excepcionales de todo el mundo al público local; incluido el cortometraje nominado al Premio de la Academia A SINGLE LIFE, el ganador del Premio Especial del Jurado del Festival Internacional de Clermond-Ferrand BAÑERA y Sundance nominados al Gran Premio del Jurado Et ta prostate, ça va? (CÓMO ESTÁ TU PRÓSTATA). Las principales instalaciones incluyen el histórico edificio Bok y el moderno Centro Cultural El Corazón del Taller Puertorriqueño.
El Festival de Cine Independiente de la Ciudad de México es una muestra de carácter internacional que busca promover la exhibición de propuestas realizadas sin la inversión de grandes estudios o entidades productoras. Su misión es difundir películas contemporáneas, estimular la cultura cinematográfica y programar piezas de dificil exhibición en salas, además de ser un evento para el encuentro entre público y realizadores mediante la activación de espacios de exhibición alternativos en la capital del país.
Este último punto es muy importante para nosotros, pues creemos que para llevar un cine diferente y diversificar la oferta audiovisual, debemos salir de las salas tradicionales. Nos interesa que más personas conozcan proyectos que desdibujan los géneros y categorías usuales, trabajos que empujan los límites del lenguaje cinematográfico, narrativas audaces e historias que requieren ser visibilizadas dado su valor sociocultural, antropológico o tecnológico, por mencionar algunos.
