Through a composite constellation of interviews, Ten aims to outline, by direct account, a historical moment still evolving, which in a very concise vision of things, could be defined as extremely vital and adventurous.Ten was born in 2015 with a strong ambition: that of gather the ten most representative climbers in the climbing history of the Val d'Adige and with them relive the evolutions on the rock. During the shooting of the film, however, the choices led to an increase in the number of mountaineers taken into consideration, bringing the final number to twelve. The part of the interviews was deliberately carried out in domestic situations. Familiarity has stimulated the protagonists to talk more calmly about their exploits, to share the strongest and most intimate emotions, to recreate the same pathos experienced during the opening of the streets themselves. All this has meant that a very complex story emerged. , made up of extreme adventures, more or less hidden competitions, of fear and anger, but also of extreme friendship and respect for the environment and for man.
With some of the protagonists (Sergio Coltri, Beppe Vidali, Alberto Rampini, Nicola Tondini, Nicola Sartori, Cristiano Pastorello), Claudio Migliorini retraced one of their most representative climbing routes, to be able to tell live the emotions during the openings, more challenging passages and sharing stories and anecdotes. At the end of the shoot, the material collected during the four years of work was really a lot, all of exceptional historical importance. An endless collection of anecdotes, stories not yet revealed, all collected directly from the source. The most difficult part was the selection and the choice of a logical narrative thread that would link all these events and anecdotes. they have a bond that manages to unite even situations that are not geographically close or distant in time. A common event, the same climbing partner, the same route "stolen" from the direct competitor, are all elements that combine to make the story unique. After almost two hundred days of shooting, editing, meetings, interviews and inspections, a 45-minute film, the ideal length for a story like this.A totally self-financed low cost project. Surely someone has been excluded, obviously not of importance, but because such a complex project always requires choices, sometimes difficult
