Málaga - MAFF
The Festival Villa del Cine – Work in Progress (WIP) is a Colombian industry program designed for feature-length films in the post-production stage. Its main objective is to support filmmakers in completing their projects by providing incentives and opportunities that facilitate the final stages of production and future distribution. The call is open to both national and international submissions, with a dedicated category for Colombian productions.

Festival Villa del Cine - WIP
Vanguardia: Film Project Incubator – Ícaro Industria 2026 is an international film development program based in Guatemala, focused on strengthening early-stage audiovisual projects through training, mentorship, and tools for financing and co-production opportunities. The call is open to Spanish-speaking directors, screenwriters, and producers from around the world with feature film projects in fiction, documentary, or animation.
The application period will be open from April 19 to May 19, 2026. Selected projects will participate in an online training program from June 6 to July 5, 2026, including sessions on project development, production structures, budgeting, financing, project presentation materials, pitching, artificial intelligence tools, and immersive storytelling. CUTTING-EDGE INCUBATOR
The JIIFF Lab 2026 call is aimed at director-producer duos from Ibero-America developing a fiction feature project. The lab will take place from January 27 to 31, 2026 in José Ignacio, Uruguay, as part of the Working JIIFF industry program.
Participants will receive personalized mentoring from international experts in areas such as directing, screenwriting, editing, and audience design, along with networking opportunities and a final project pitch before a jury.
Projects must be in development, with a maximum budget of US$ 1,500,000 and at least 25% secured financing. Directors and producers must meet minimum experience requirements in short or feature films and festival participation, as well as residency in Ibero-America.
Awards include the Fondo Pfeffer del Sur, offering US$ 50,000 for project development, and the Musitelli Award, providing US$ 50,000 in filming equipment in Uruguay. Submission deadlines are October 31 and December 12, 2025.

JIIFF LAB
The WIP Latino 10 call from the GuadaLAjara Film Festival (GLAFF) supports feature films by Latinx, Latin American, and BIPOC filmmakers based in the U.S., in the editing or early post-production stage. It aims to boost projects with a rough cut between 60 and 140 minutes that still need at least two post-production processes, providing in-kind prizes, professional services, and a cash award.
