The Rueda Film Academy Program is aimed at emerging or professional screenwriters (individuals), of legal age at the time the application is submitted, of any nationality, whether national or foreign, who present initiatives focused on the development of projects, in feature film format and of any genre (fiction, documentary or animation).

Rueda Film Academy Program - Film Academy
The Cinekid Script LAB open call launches in March 2025 for writers of children’s feature films or series. A cohort of 12–15 is selected to participate in a six‑month programme (October 2025–March 2026), working on an enhanced script draft with one‑on‑one coaching, workshops at the Cinekid Festival (Amsterdam) and Berlinale (Berlin), plus networking events.
Minimum materials: treatment, character descriptions, motivation letter, link to previous work.
Fees: open‑call writers cover their own participation fees; scholarships are available for writers from “low‑capacity” EU countries. A nomination route also exists, with costs covered by international partners.

Cinekid Script LAB
FICBUEU Residency is an intensive short film development program held from October 15–21, 2025, on Ons Island (Galicia, Spain). It targets filmmakers with early-stage projects and a first draft script (max. 30 pages). All genres and styles are welcome, with a focus on strong authorial voices.
The call is international, though 60% of slots are reserved for Galician creators and women are encouraged to apply. Fluency in Spanish is required; scripts must be in or translated into Spanish.
Selected participants receive mentoring, specialized training, and support to strengthen project quality and feasibility.

FICBUEU Residency
RAW – Arché→Work Residencies 2026 is an international residency and film development program jointly organized in Portugal and Spain, aimed at filmmakers and film critics from Ibermedia member countries. The call focuses primarily on nonfiction cinema, documentary filmmaking, experimental practices, and projects related to film criticism and research.
The program operates as a residency and development lab that combines mentorship, professional training, collaborative working sessions, industry networking opportunities, and artistic exchange. It is designed for nonfiction feature-length film projects in development, production, or post-production stages, as well as projects centered on film criticism and research.
The 2026 edition will take place from October 18 to November 24, with activities held in Lisbon, Odemira, and Madrid. Applications were accepted from April 15 to May 15, 2026. The program is open to international applicants from countries that are part of the Ibermedia network.

The CRFIC Industry section of the 10th Costa Rica International Film Festival invites Costa Rican filmmakers to submit their feature film projects in the development stage in the PROJECT PRESENTATION FORUM category, which will be held in the city of San José during the tenth edition of the Festival.
