The Proyecciones en Sala 2025 call at Ventana Sur will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from December 1 to 5, 2025. It is aimed at feature films ready for theatrical screening in the market, accepting works of any genre. Submissions are made through sales agents, not individually, and both Latin American and European films are eligible.
The application deadline is October 31, 2025, and digital or DCP materials must be submitted by November 7, 2025. Selection notifications will be sent to applicants by November 17, 2025.
This section of Ventana Sur focuses exclusively on in-theater screenings, not pitching or projects in progress, and does not accept short films or series. Its purpose is to provide filmmakers and sales agents with visibility in front of buyers and distributors within the international audiovisual market.

VdR–Development Lab
The Storyline Development Workshop is a virtual lab focused on the creative development of early-stage fiction feature film projects, from the initial idea to narrative treatment. The application period for the 2026 edition is open until November 1, 2025. The workshop runs from February 1 to April 5, 2026, with an additional follow-up session in April/May 2026. The program is organized from Mexico and accepts international applications from filmmakers around the world. It focuses solely on narrative fiction and belongs to the laboratory / creative development category. The accepted format is fiction feature films, with virtual group and individual sessions designed to develop each project’s treatment, character profiles, and synopsis.

Storylines Lab (Spanish) - Cine Qua Non Lab
La residencia de escritura CASA CINE 2026 está dirigida a guionistas y cineastas que trabajen en su primera o segunda película de largometraje. La convocatoria es internacional, aceptando participantes de cualquier nacionalidad, y se enfoca en proyectos de ficción, documental creativo o animación.
Las postulaciones para guionistas y director-guionistas estarán abiertas desde el 3 de noviembre hasta el 3 de diciembre de 2025, mientras que los compositores de música de cine podrán postular del 15 de enero al 15 de febrero de 2026. La residencia se llevará a cabo del 6 al 29 de mayo de 2026, en el Château de la Napoule, Francia, coincidiendo con el Festival de Cannes.
Durante la residencia, los participantes recibirán acompañamiento intensivo en escritura cinematográfica y musical, con la oportunidad de presentar sus proyectos frente a profesionales de la industria. La convocatoria se centra en largometrajes, no aceptando series ni cortometrajes, y está diseñada para fortalecer la escritura de guion y composición musical dentro de un ambiente internacional y creativo.

Residencia de Escritura - CASA CINE
D’A Film Lab Barcelona is an industry laboratory designed to support emerging talent in feature films by facilitating their development, completion, and international exposure, with a focus on Spanish works. The call for entries for the edition taking place from March 22 to 25, 2026, is open until December 5, 2025. The programme includes two main strands: Final Cut, which selects Spanish and Catalan feature films in post-production and awards a €20,000 prize to the winning project, and Producció Emergent, which focuses on feature film projects in development with specialised professional guidance. The lab provides intensive support through expert mentoring, workshops, and international networking opportunities for emerging directors and producers. The event is held in Spain (Barcelona) as part of the D’A – Festival de Cinema de Barcelona. While primarily geared towards Spanish and Catalan projects, it includes training and industry activities that promote international collaboration and exposure.
