The XXIII National Cinematographic Script Contest GIFF 2025 is open to Mexican screenwriters and foreigners with at least three years of residency in Mexico. Participants can submit scripts in two categories: fiction feature films (minimum 80 pages) and fiction short films (maximum 15 pages). Scripts must be original, written in Spanish, accompanied by a synopsis, and registered for copyright.

Up to five finalists per category will be awarded cash prizes, equipment, and services, along with script consultations and opportunities to pitch their projects to producers and investors during the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF), held from July 25 to 31, 2025. The submission period was from March 26 to April 29, 2025. More information at giff.mx.

The 14th Bolivia Lab International Script Workshop 2025 is aimed at Ibero-American screenwriters, directors, and producers who are beginning their journey in the film industry. Bolivia Lab provides an opportunity for those looking to develop their feature film projects in fiction and animation. In Cochabamba, Bolivia's garden city, this international workshop will serve as a meeting point for exchanging experiences and developing new Bolivian and Ibero-American projects. The main objective is to offer Bolivian filmmakers a space to reflect, share stories, and build co-production ties with their Ibero-American peers. Ibero-American and Bolivian screenwriters with a script in progress, in collaboration with a director and/or producer, are invited to participate in this event.

The 9th Mercosur Co-Production Meeting – ECM+LAB Special Ibero-America 2025 is part of the Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosur Festival (FAM). It takes place from September 4 to 9, 2025, in Florianópolis, Brazil, with a hybrid LAB phase from June 3 to July 31, 2025. The event promotes co-productions and development of feature films and series in fiction and documentary genres.

Projects from Mercosur countries (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela) and selected Latin American countries, Spain, and Portugal are eligible. Participation modes include Negocial+LAB for selected projects, Players (industry professionals), and Audience members.

The Coral Postproduction Award at the 46th Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema is aimed at feature-length fiction, documentary, or animated films with Latin American or Caribbean themes that are in the postproduction phase. Its goal is to support the completion of works through technical resources and specialized services.

The call for submissions is open from May 5 to August 15, 2025. Projects must have been produced in 2024 or 2025, not have participated in international festivals held in Cuba, nor have been publicly disseminated on digital platforms.

Applicants must complete the registration form available on the festival's official website: habanafilmfestival.com. Submission requirements include a rough cut of the film and a project dossier containing a synopsis, treatment, director's statement, biographies of the director and producer, detailed postproduction plan, budget, and financing plan.

Selected projects will receive postproduction service packages provided by collaborating companies. In previous editions, companies such as Aracne DC and Arte Sonora have offered image and sound editing services, including Dolby mixing and specialized technical advice.
