Impulso Morelia 12 is an industry platform of the Morelia International Film Festival focused on Mexican fiction and documentary feature films in post-production. The program operates as a Work in Progress initiative where selected teams present their projects to an international panel of experts and industry professionals to receive feedback on completion, promotion, and distribution strategies.
The call is open exclusively to Mexican projects, either directed by Mexican filmmakers or by permanent residents of Mexico. Productions created exclusively for television are not eligible. Submitted projects must be feature-length films with a working cut between 70 and 120 minutes and be in an advanced stage of post-production.
The application deadline is July 22, 2026, at 8:00 PM (CST). Selected projects will be announced on August 25, 2026. Impulso Morelia 12 will take place from October 18–20, 2026, as part of the 24th edition of the Morelia International Film Festival.

Morelia Impulse - FICM
The UNIFEST Film 2025 call for entries includes a “Best Short Film Script” category for writers from Mexico and the United States. Any genre or theme is accepted, as long as the script is original, unpublished, and intended for a short film. Submissions are open from January 31 to July 31, 2025 via FilmFreeway. The prize consists of two days of professional filming equipment rental (4K camera, lenses, lights, sound) and one free day in a studio, to support the winning project’s production. Results will be announced between August 28 and 31, 2025. You must attach the required documents (ID, synopsis, rights registration) and follow the festival’s social media. UNIFEST Film – Best Short Film Screenplay
The WIP Latino 10 call from the GuadaLAjara Film Festival (GLAFF) supports feature films by Latinx, Latin American, and BIPOC filmmakers based in the U.S., in the editing or early post-production stage. It aims to boost projects with a rough cut between 60 and 140 minutes that still need at least two post-production processes, providing in-kind prizes, professional services, and a cash award. Submission is free and done online via a secure streaming link. Selected projects will be showcased in November 2025 in Los Angeles, receiving visibility and expert feedback. Participants must be over 18, hold a key creative role, and not be full-time students. Finalized films must include GLAFF and WIP Latino credits. Berlinale Talents 2026 es un programa profesional del Festival Internacional de Cine de Berlín que se celebrará del 13 al 18 de febrero de 2026. La convocatoria está abierta hasta el 3 de septiembre de 2025 y está dirigida a cineastas y creadores con experiencia demostrable en largometrajes, cortometrajes, series o telefilmes, en géneros como ficción, documental, híbridos o realidad virtual. Los proyectos deben estar en etapa avanzada de desarrollo y haber tenido presencia en festivales o distribución reconocida. Los seleccionados participarán en talleres, mentorías y laboratorios para fortalecer su carrera y ampliar su red internacional. La postulación se realiza en línea, completando un perfil profesional y presentando el proyecto. No hay costo de inscripción, pero los gastos de viaje y alojamiento corren por cuenta del participante.

Talentos de la Berlinale
The Creative Production Workshop (TPC Panama 2025) is an intensive lab for film projects in early development. It focuses on strengthening the producer–director team working on a first or second feature (fiction, documentary, or hybrid).
The workshop will take place July 28 – August 3, 2025 in Panama. Filmmakers from 14 Central American and Caribbean countries are eligible. Applications close on July 3, 2025. 14 scholarships are available, covering tuition, accommodation, meals, and local transport (not international flights).
