he ABCGuionistas Short Screenplay International Contest opens its eighth edition with the collaboration of Altamedia Studios, Instituto del Cine Madrid (Madrid Film Institute), in addition to the brands Marca de Autor and Un Verano de Guion.

The contest has the purpose of promoting the creation of short screenplays in Spanish and the visibility of their authors. It is opened for novel and professional screenwriters of any country seeking to show their storytelling talent, winning exposure and getting rewarded for writing.

VS Series is a section of Ventana Sur 2026 aimed at Latin American fiction and documentary series projects in an advanced stage of development, submitted by Latin American production companies or developed as co-productions with Latin America. Projects must consist of episodes of 20 minutes or more.

The initiative operates as a space for acceleration, international networking, and market opportunities, offering selected projects opportunities to meet with decision-makers, network, receive support, and participate in individual meetings.

The Darkroom 2026 program, organized by the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) through its professional market CineMart, is aimed at feature films and immersive media projects that are in an advanced stage of editing or post-production. It focuses on Work in Progress projects, providing a professional platform to showcase films that are not yet fully completed. Short films or fully finished films with distribution already in place are not accepted.

The event will take place in Rotterdam, Netherlands, during IFFR Pro / CineMart from January 31 to February 4, 2026. The call was international, allowing submissions from any country, with no restrictions on cinematic genre; fiction, documentary, and hybrid projects are welcome.

El American Film Market (AFM) 2025 se llevará a cabo del 11 al 16 de noviembre en Los Ángeles, California. Es uno de los mercados cinematográficos independientes más importantes del mundo, donde se generan acuerdos de distribución, financiación y promoción por valor de miles de millones de dólares.
