MIANIMA 5th Edition is a mentorship program focused on the incubation, development, and promotion of animation projects led by women from the Ibero-American region. Over a four-month period, selected participants receive masterclasses and personalized mentoring to strengthen their projects across key areas of the animation industry.

The call for applications is open from July 27 to September 2, 2026. The program will run from September 2026 through January 2027, concluding with the MIANIMA Pitch Day and the MIA Market in Madrid, where participants will present their projects, compete for awards, and take part in one-to-one meetings with leading animation industry professionals.

The program welcomes international applications from women across the Ibero-American community and accepts animated short films, feature films, and series, as well as MIANIMA Lite, a category created for student-led animation projects.

The 15th Ibero-American Work in Progress at SANFIC Industria 2026, held in Chile, is aimed at film projects from Ibero-America that have already been filmed and are in the post-production or first-cut stage. Filmmakers who are from or reside in Ibero-American countries may apply, meaning the call accepts national and international projects within this region.

The call accepts fiction and documentary feature films. The submitted first cut must have a running time of between 60 and 120 minutes. Up to ten feature films will be selected to be presented to professionals and representatives of the national and international audiovisual industry.

Applications remain open until August 31, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Santiago, Chile time. The Ibero-American Work in Progress will take place from November 2 to 6, 2026, in Santiago, Chile, as part of SANFIC Industria, in a hybrid format, with in-person participation and in-person or virtual access for industry professionals.

The Cinema Pendent Development Lab, part of L’Alternativa PRO 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, is a call dedicated to feature film projects in the writing or development stage. It is aimed at directors, screenwriters, and producers working on fiction, hybrid, or experimental films, with a focus on strengthening the narrative, conceptual, and artistic foundations of projects at an early stage.

The call is open to international applicants and will select four projects to participate in an intensive development program with professional guidance and mentorship. Selected projects will also receive a €500 grant to support their in-person participation.

Applications are open until June 25, 2026. The laboratory will take place in person in Barcelona from November 12–22, 2026, as part of the professional activities of the L’Alternativa Independent Film Festival. The program is specifically designed for feature-length projects seeking creative development and support for innovative, author-driven cinematic proposals.

The 14th Santiago Ibero-American LAB – SANFIC Industria 2026, held in Santiago, Chile, is a laboratory for fiction and documentary feature film projects in development, pre-production, or production. The call is open to projects from across Ibero-America, provided that their productions and representatives originate from or reside in Ibero-American countries. Projects must include an audiovisual sample, moodboard, or teaser.

Up to 28 projects will be selected across the fiction and documentary categories. Participants will receive group and individual mentoring from international experts, followed by a pitch session with international industry professionals. The initiative falls under the Laboratory and Pitch categories.

Applications close on August 31, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Santiago, Chile time. The laboratory will take place in person from November 2–6, 2026.

SANFIC Industria has opened applications for the 2026 VII Series LAB: Iberoamérica, a development lab for scripted fiction and unscripted non-fiction series projects at an advanced development stage. Applications are open to projects from across Ibero-America whose productions and representatives originate from and/or reside in countries within the region. Projects must have a confirmed director, screenwriter, and producer, and audiovisual materials such as a teaser, moodboard, or visual sample are positively valued.

The program will take place 100% online from October 26–29, 2026, offering mentoring and expert advisory sessions, one-on-one meetings, and pitch presentations to international audiovisual industry professionals and decision-makers. Participation is free of charge. The application deadline is August 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM Santiago, Chile time.
