The Storylines Lab is designed for narrative feature film projects at an early stage of development, from early concept to treatment stage. The lab is held virtually through online sessions and has a duration of two weeks.
The lab gives independent filmmakers from around the world the opportunity to work intensively on the creative development of their projects in an environment structured to foster professional collaboration and high-quality project development.
The lab is facilitated by a professional in the field with long-standing experience. In addition to the guidance provided by the facilitator through workshop sessions and one-on-one meetings, the lab offers the participants the opportunity to workshop their projects with other international filmmakers, be part of a community of like-minded artists, and access the Cine Qua Non Lab film professional network.

Taller de Líneas Argumentales (English) - Cine Qua Non Lab
FantasoLab opened the call for the VII Ibero-American Fantastic Film Screenwriting Workshop on August 27, 2026, with a deadline of September 30, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., Colombia time (GMT-5). The selected projects will be announced on December 1, 2026. The workshop will be held virtually from January 14 to 23, 2027.
The call, organized from Colombia, accepts applications from screenwriters from any country, although priority is given to those with nationality or permanent residence in Ibero-America. It is exclusively aimed at fiction feature film projects in the writing stage belonging to the science fiction, fantasy, or horror genres, or incorporating narrative components from these genres.
The program operates as a screenwriting development workshop and laboratory. Up to 15 projects will be selected, and one or two screenwriters may participate per project. The work focuses on the treatment through personalized consultations, theoretical talks, and group sessions.

FantasoLab - Screenwriting Workshop
The Storyline Development Workshop is a virtual lab focused on the creative development of early-stage fiction feature film projects, from the initial idea to narrative treatment. The application period for the 2026 edition is open until November 1, 2025. The workshop runs from February 1 to April 5, 2026, with an additional follow-up session in April/May 2026. The program is organized from Mexico and accepts international applications from filmmakers around the world. It focuses solely on narrative fiction and belongs to the laboratory / creative development category. The accepted format is fiction feature films, with virtual group and individual sessions designed to develop each project’s treatment, character profiles, and synopsis.

Storylines Lab (Spanish) - Cine Qua Non Lab
The 15th Bolivia Lab International Screenwriting Workshop 2026 is an in-person script development laboratory for Ibero-American feature-length fiction and animation projects in their first draft. Its purpose is to strengthen screenplays through personalized mentoring, masterclasses, and collaborative activities that encourage networking and future international co-production opportunities.
The call for entries was open from March 20 to April 10, 2026, and the workshop will take place from August 31 to September 4, 2026, in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The program is open to applicants from Bolivia, Ibero-American countries, and Portugal, making it an international opportunity. Eligible projects must be original feature-length fiction or animation screenplays in their first draft and be associated with a director and/or producer with plans for future production.
