The Galician Freaky Film Festival (GFFF), based in Spain, hosts an international call aimed at the development of short films within the fantastic genre. FICC Industria is the professional section of the Centelles en Curt festival in Spain, focused on the exhibition and circulation of short films within an audiovisual industry and networking environment. The International Co-production Meeting (EIC) 2026, part of the Ícaro International Film Festival in Central America, held in Guatemala, is an audiovisual industry initiative focused on strengthening film projects in development through regional and international co-production strategies. The call is open to Spanish-speaking directors and producers from around the world with feature film, documentary, animation, or television series projects.

EIC 2026 will select 12 projects to participate in a professional training and industry networking process. The first stage will take place online from August 8 to 13, 2026, including individual mentoring sessions and masterclasses focused on pitching, project presentation materials, co-production strategies, distribution, and market development. The in-person stage will be held from November 23 to 28, 2026, during the 29th Ícaro International Film Festival in Central America, featuring industry meetings, market sessions, and project presentations.

Corte en Progreso 2026 – Ícaro Industry is an international call based in Guatemala that aims to support feature-length fiction, documentary, and animation projects in their final post-production stage. The program is designed for projects with a first cut completed, providing specialized mentorship in editing, post-production, and distribution, as well as opportunities to connect with professionals from the film industry.

The call for applications will be open from April 19 to May 19, 2026. Directors, producers, and editors from around the world may apply, provided they are Spanish-speaking. Selected projects will participate in a virtual stage from July 18 to 20, 2026, including individual professional consultations, followed by an in-person stage from November 23 to 28, 2026, during the XXIX Ícaro International Film Festival in Central America, featuring private screenings, public pitches, industry meetings, and market activities.

The call is focused exclusively on feature-length projects in post-production seeking completion and stronger distribution opportunities.
