Darya Perelay was born and raised in Ukraine and is currently living in Barcelona. She has a Master Degree in Music Arts. In addition, Darya is trained in filmmaking (screenwriter and director).

Darya has directed 7 short films and 1 feature film. Her short film «Coins of fate» was in the official program of the Sitges Phonestatic film festival, «Bonjour» was a part of Colchester 60 hours film festival etc.

Her short film «I love her» has screened at more than 50 film festivals around the world (including screening at Cannes film festival). «I love her» also was a part of the program of the Contemporary World Cinema offered through Ryerson University in Toronto. And it was a base for her first feature film.

Darya just finished her first feature film "I love her" that has already screened at some film festivals.
