have a short film or feature film project in development documentary, fiction, experimental or animation in the native language of the Peru or Latin America.

Originario Lab
The Work in Progress section of the Huesca International Film Festival invites short films from Ibero-American countries that are in an advanced stage of post-production. Projects should be between 5 and 20 minutes long and must not have been commercially released or screened at other festivals. Short films of all genres are accepted, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, fantasy, or horror.
Applications opened on January 14, 2026, and will close on February 12, 2026. Selected projects will be presented during the Work in Progress sessions at the festival, which will take place from June 5 to 13, 2026, with the short film presentations scheduled for June 11, 2026. This program aims to provide visibility, guidance, and networking opportunities for filmmakers who want to showcase their works prior to their final release.
The call is international, focusing on Ibero-American countries, and the festival takes place in Huesca, Spain. It offers filmmakers a valuable chance for professional feedback, support, and exposure within a prestigious festival setting.

PITCHING - Festival Internacional De Cine De Huesca
FIDLab 2026 es una convocatoria internacional organizada por FIDMarseille, enfocada en proyectos cinematográficos de ficción y documental con una fuerte identidad artística y potencial de coproducción internacional. Está dirigida a cineastas y productores que busquen acompañamiento profesional, financiación y conexiones estratégicas dentro de la industria.
La convocatoria acepta proyectos en distintas etapas, desde escritura y desarrollo hasta producción y postproducción, siempre que se trate de obras cinematográficas en proceso. No existe una restricción temática ni de género narrativo, pero se priorizan propuestas singulares, sensibles y con una visión autoral clara.
FIDLab funciona como una plataforma de laboratorio y coproducción, ofreciendo a los proyectos seleccionados encuentros con productores, fondos, distribuidores, agentes de ventas y otros profesionales clave del sector audiovisual internacional.
La convocatoria está abierta a postulaciones de todos los países. La fecha límite de postulación es el 2 de marzo de 2026. FIDLab se realizará los días 9 y 10 de julio de 2026, en el marco del FIDMarseille, que tendrá lugar del 7 al 12 de julio de 2026, en Francia.

FIDLab - Marseille
The Storylines Lab is designed for narrative feature film projects at an early stage of development, from early concept to treatment stage. The lab is held virtually through online sessions and has a duration of two weeks.
The lab gives independent filmmakers from around the world the opportunity to work intensively on the creative development of their projects in an environment structured to foster professional collaboration and high-quality project development.
The lab is facilitated by a professional in the field with long-standing experience. In addition to the guidance provided by the facilitator through workshop sessions and one-on-one meetings, the lab offers the participants the opportunity to workshop their projects with other international filmmakers, be part of a community of like-minded artists, and access the Cine Qua Non Lab film professional network.

Taller de Líneas Argumentales (English) - Cine Qua Non Lab
Cine Qua Non Residency is a writing retreat specifically designed for alumni of Cine Qua Non Lab. The program aims to connect alumni from different generations of Cine Qua Non Lab and offer them the opportunity to work intensively on the development of their narrative feature screenplays in Mexico, in a structured environment that fosters professional collaboration.
Cine Qua Non Residency is a supported writing retreat that gives Cine Qua Non Lab alumni the opportunity to experience — or return to — the Cine Qua Non Lab facilities in Mexico and develop their scripts in a protected writing environment, with the support of international peers from various Lab generations and the guidance of an on-site mentor to help generate ideas. The retreat lasts 10 days.
