Som Cinema Lab/Pro is an initiative of the Som Cinema Festival aimed at screenwriters and directors from the Terres de Ponent region. Its goal is to support the development of short films in Catalan at the script stage, offering collaborative workshops to improve and refine selected projects.

The call is open from June 13 to September 5, 2025. The workshops will take place from October 22 to 26 during the main days of the festival. Projects must be fiction and written in Catalan. There is no specific genre, so dramas, comedies, thrillers, narrative animation, and other fiction styles are welcome.

Selected projects will receive professional mentoring and have the opportunity to screen their short film in future editions of the festival. The winner will participate in the Talent Meeting at the Galacticat Festival 2026, while finalists will attend the Animac Festival 2026. The initiative aims to promote local talent, strengthen Catalan audiovisual culture, and foster collaboration among participants.

The 8th ZINEBI Networking Professional Forum 2025 is aimed at emerging filmmakers and production companies from Spain, including the Basque Country, with feature-length documentary projects of at least 60 minutes. Submissions are accepted in development or post-production, with a creative, author-driven approach to non-fiction.

Selected projects receive personalized mentorship, one-on-one sessions with industry professionals, and presentations to a specialized jury. Travel, accommodation, and per diem expenses are covered for one accredited person per project, providing visibility and professional support throughout the project’s development.

Three awards of €10,000 each will be granted: one for Basque projects, one for the rest of Spain, and one specifically for projects in development. Online follow-up sessions are also provided to support project completion and professional growth. The forum takes place within the framework of the festival’s 67th edition, including private screenings and networking opportunities with the national documentary industry.
