The Ibero-American Audiovisual Project Development Course (CDPAI) has opened its call for the 2026 edition, aimed at filmmakers from the Ibero-American community who are developing audiovisual projects. The program focuses on strengthening creative, narrative, and production aspects through an intensive training process with specialized mentoring.
Applications are open until March 2, 2026, and the course will take place on-site in Madrid, Spain, from September 28 to November 6, 2026. It is designed for projects in fiction, documentary, and animation, in feature film and series formats, currently in the development stage.
CDPAI operates as a development laboratory, combining training, creative guidance, and a final pitch presentation. It accepts international applications from Ibero-American countries, including participants based in Latin America and Spain, with different application pathways depending on the applicant’s country of residence.

Ibero-American Audiovisual Project Development Course
LabGuion 2026 is an international screenwriting lab focused on the development of fiction feature film scripts written in Spanish. The call is based in Colombia and is open to both national and international applicants from across Ibero-America. The program takes place on-site in Santa Fe de Antioquia and is designed to support projects in development through intensive training and personalized mentoring processes.
The application period opens on February 1, 2026, and closes on March 31, 2026, which is the final deadline for submissions. The lab will be held from October 12 to October 29, 2026, organized in two working cohorts. LabGuion positions itself as a professional development space aimed at strengthening fiction screenplays and supporting emerging and established screenwriters in the creative growth of their projects.

SCRIPT LAB - CINEFILIA
The PÖFF Goes to Cannes 2026 call targets fiction feature films in late production or post-production. Selected projects will be showcased at the Marché du Film during the Cannes Film Festival, providing opportunities to connect with sales agents, distributors, and festival programmers worldwide.
The application deadline is February 20, 2026, and the selected projects will be presented on May 15, 2026. This is an international call, open to fiction projects from any country, but documentaries and animation are not accepted.
Projects must submit 1 to 3 scene extracts with English subtitles, accompanied by a short pitch. The focus is on fiction feature films, within the Work in Progress and international market area, offering visibility and potential financing or distribution at a global level.

PÖFF Goes to Cannes
The New Nordic Work-in-Progress 2026 call is part of the Stockfish Film & Industry Festival in Reykjavík, Iceland, and targets Nordic audiovisual projects in development. The application deadline is January 15, 2026, and public presentations and pitch sessions will take place during Industry Days on March 28, 2026. This program is exclusively for independent productions whose main producers are based in Nordic countries, meaning it does not accept submissions from outside this region. It welcomes feature-length documentaries or fiction films and TV series (documentary or fiction), focused on emerging talent with their first project. The area is a Work in Progress platform that offers visibility, pitch training, and industry networking. Participation is free and includes assistance with accommodation and flights for selected projects.

STOCKFISH - WIP
IsLABentura Canarias 2026 is an international script development lab held in the Canary Islands, Spain. It is aimed at feature film and television series projects in fiction, documentary, and animation, provided they are written in Spanish and have a narrative or thematic connection to the Canary Islands.
The call is open to writers of any nationality, therefore accepting international submissions. Applications open on January 13, 2026, and close on February 22, 2026, which is the final deadline to submit projects.
The lab takes place from April to October 2026, combining one-on-one mentoring, intensive training, and industry-focused activities. The program includes a welcome week in Tenerife (April 20–26), a training week in La Gomera (July 20–26), and a final pitch session with awards in Gran Canaria (October 19–25, 2026). IsLABentura focuses on strengthening projects creatively and preparing them for the audiovisual market.
