BIOBIO CONECTA is the Industry and Market of the Lebu International Film Festival, co-organized with Bio Ingeniería Audiovisual Ltda., in collaboration with Universidad de las Américas, UNIACC, Universidad San Sebastián, Santo Tomás, Universidad del Desarrollo, Universidad del Bío Bío, AIEP, DUOC, CEDUC, and Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción. It will take place from April 27 to 30, 2025, in Concepción, with the support of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage.
WIP CINELEBU applies only to short films and aims to enhance and assist in their high-quality completion for national and international projection. Eligible short films must be in an advanced editing phase, with the filming already completed and an editing cut that meets the conditions outlined in these guidelines.
Additionally, directors who do not have a production company based in the country may also apply, provided that the short film has been filmed anywhere in Chile.
Through this call, we also aim to foster the cultural development of the country by supporting creative industries and linking cultural investment with other productive activities. The following action lines are highlighted:

BIOBIO CONNECTS - WIP
The WIP Latino 10 call from the GuadaLAjara Film Festival (GLAFF) supports feature films by Latinx, Latin American, and BIPOC filmmakers based in the U.S., in the editing or early post-production stage. It aims to boost projects with a rough cut between 60 and 140 minutes that still need at least two post-production processes, providing in-kind prizes, professional services, and a cash award. Submission is free and done online via a secure streaming link. Selected projects will be showcased in November 2025 in Los Angeles, receiving visibility and expert feedback. Participants must be over 18, hold a key creative role, and not be full-time students. Finalized films must include GLAFF and WIP Latino credits. GLAFF - WIP Latino
The 2025 Conexões Gramado Film Market call is open to audiovisual professionals and companies interested in participating in business rounds, panels, workshops, and showcases during the Gramado Film Festival. Projects accepted include feature films, short films, series, documentaries, animation, extended reality (VR/AR), and narrative video games, whether in development or completed. Applicants must register in advance, submitting a dossier with synopsis, project status, financing needs, and audiovisual materials like teasers or trailers if available. Participation in panels and workshops is free with prior registration and does not require a project submission. Connections Gramado Film Market
The Izmir Film Lab 2025 will take place during the 26th Izmir International Short Film Festival, from 14 to 16 November 2025 at the İzQ Entrepreneurship Center.
The call is open to short film projects in development—fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, fantasy, horror, or music video—as long as the final work does not exceed 30 minutes. Both national and local (Izmir-based) filmmakers are welcome.
Selected projects will be presented through a 5‑minute pitch before a professional jury, followed by networking sessions with producers. Participants also gain access to training workshops on sustainable film production, directing, image techniques, new technologies, and distribution.
The Film Lab is supported by companies such as TamTam, Rollart Film, Public Film, Fono Film, Serpil Altın Film, and Mediacast Film Lab, offering awards and production services to outstanding projects.

İzmir Film Lab
The 9th In Vitro BFM, part of the Bogotá Short Film Market, is open for submissions from July 16 to September 15, 2025. This program supports emerging filmmakers by awarding approximately $50,000 USD to produce their first professional short film. Eligible projects must be in pre-production or production phases.
Applicants must submit a completed application including the script, budget, and production plan in Spanish or English. A specialized committee will evaluate projects based on creativity, production feasibility, cultural impact, and distribution potential.
Selected filmmakers will participate in training and networking activities during the festival. Results will be announced on October 24, 2025, at the Cinemateca de Bogotá. In Vitro BFM aims to boost new directors' careers and promote audiovisual production in Colombia.
