The FILMS TO COME call of ECAM Forum 2026 targets feature-length projects in development, accepting fiction, documentary, and animation works. It is open to international submissions, allowing creators from any country to participate. This forum section serves as a market and pitch platform where projects can seek funding, co-producers, sales agents, and international partners.

Submissions are open until January 27, 2026, and the event will take place from June 9 to 12, 2026 in Madrid, Spain. Projects must have an expected runtime of over 60 minutes and be in the development stage, whether it is a first, second, or third feature. There are no restrictions on cinematic genre, enabling creators to explore diverse narrative styles and hybrid formats.

FILMS TO COME provides filmmakers with the opportunity to present their projects to industry professionals, establishing key connections for international co-production and distribution of their feature films.

The Showrunners Workshop at Iberseries & Platino Industria is a training and mentoring program designed to support the development of Spanish-language series projects while strengthening participants’ creative, leadership, and production skills. The initiative is aimed at Ibero-American audiovisual professionals with experience or training in creation, screenwriting, directing, or producing who have a series project in development.

The call is open to international applicants from the Ibero-American region and will select up to 12 projects. Selected participants will receive online mentoring sessions before attending the in-person workshop, which includes project development activities, training sessions, and meetings with industry professionals.

The application deadline is June 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM (GMT+2). The workshop will take place in Madrid, Spain, on September 29–30 and October 1, 2026.

The ECAM Last Push program is part of the ECAM Forum 2026 in Madrid, Spain, and is aimed at feature films in the editing or post-production phase. Applications open on December 17, 2025, and close on February 12, 2026. This section is designed to help cinematic projects reach festivals, distribution channels, and international markets by connecting filmmakers with programmers, distributors, and sales agents.

The program accepts projects from any country and of any narrative genre, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, or hybrid works, provided they are feature-length films over 60 minutes in post-production. During the ECAM Forum, taking place from June 9 to 12, 2026, selected projects will have the chance to showcase their work to industry professionals, receive expert feedback, and gain international visibility opportunities.

The Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT 2026 call, within its Drama Series Pitch section, will take place in Mallorca, Spain, from May 25 to May 28, 2026. The submission deadline was extended until March 19, 2026, which is the latest official application date currently announced. The call is open to international applicants, allowing companies or representatives of any nationality to submit projects intended for international co-production and market circulation.

This opportunity belongs to the Pitch industry category, designed for presenting projects to producers, broadcasters, platforms, and audiovisual market decision-makers. It accepts only TV fiction series in development, particularly drama or dramedy projects planned as a first season. Short films, feature films, animation projects, and vertical or micro-drama formats are not eligible.

Documenta Madrid 2026 has opened its call for entries for its International Documentary Film Competition, which is open to non-fiction films from all countries. The call welcomes both emerging and established filmmakers, with no thematic or stylistic restrictions, as long as the works belong to the documentary field.

The application deadline is February 20, 2026. Selected films will be screened as part of the festival’s official program, which will take place from May 26 to May 31, 2026, in Madrid, Spain.

The competition accepts documentary short films and feature-length films, with no minimum or maximum duration, provided that the works are completed.
