Feratum Pitch Hub 2025 is an international call for filmmakers and producers developing feature-length projects in horror, fantasy, science fiction, thriller, and suspense genres. It is part of the Feratum International Fantastic Film Festival, held in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, Mexico.
Projects in script, pre-production, or production stages are accepted, with a runtime between 70 and 120 minutes. Projects with Latin American cultural elements are especially valued, but participation is open worldwide.
Selected projects will join a pitch workshop on November 5 and 6, 2025, and deliver their final pitch on November 7 before an expert jury. The event offers personalized feedback, networking opportunities with co-producers, distributors, and financiers, as well as cash and in-kind awards.
The call closes on August 31, 2025. This is a key opportunity for those seeking support, visibility, and funding for fantastic genre films within the international circuit.

The Short Film Project Laboratory will take place in person on April 18, 19 and 24. With the main objective of promoting the production of short films, the Laboratory has the experience of professionals who work in the audiovisual area.

Laboratorio de Proyectos de Cortometraje - CURTACINEMA
The “From Page to Screen” call is a joint initiative by the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) and the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL), aimed at connecting the audiovisual industry with Ibero-American literature. It targets companies, producers, and professionals who develop, acquire, or produce content for film, television, or streaming platforms with an interest in literary adaptations.
Applicants must fill out a registration form and submit a PDF including company details, professional background, adaptation experience, and goals for participation. While no specific formats or genres are mentioned, commercially viable or industry-relevant projects are preferred.
Up to five participants will receive support: two grants include travel (one domestic, one international), and three include lodging, accreditation, and a table at the FIL Rights Center. Selected participants gain access to professional events, catalogs, and networking opportunities during FIL 2025.
The call is open from August 6 to 29, 2025, with results announced on September 17. The in-person program will take place in Guadalajara from November 30 to December 3.

Nuestra iniciativa Short Film Fund apoya la producción de un guion de cortometraje (20 páginas como máximo) o la finalización de un cortometraje (menos de 20 minutos) con una subvención de hasta 5.000 libras esterlinas (aproximadamente 6.300 dólares), un paquete de alquiler de kits y servicios de posproducción en especie. Dirdira Lab launches its fourth call for creative feature film projects. The lab will take place from October 7 to 14, 2025 at Azala (Álava, Spain), aimed at emerging filmmakers with projects over 60 minutes, regardless of genre or format.
Applicants must have Spanish nationality, residency, or co-production. Each team may submit up to two projects. Priority will be given to works directed by women, creators under 35, and those in minority languages spoken in Spain.
Selected projects will receive €2,000 in development support, with all travel, accommodation, and meals covered for two team members. The lab offers guidance in narrative, aesthetics, directing, production, and sustainable practices.
The deadline is August 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. All materials must be submitted as a single PDF to info@dirdiralab.com. Projects with artistic risk and formal originality will be highly valued.
