The goal of this meeting is to deepen the understanding of the specifics of each event and promote films within the international circuit. IBERMEDIA NEXT is an initiative of the IBERMEDIA Program aimed at applying new technologies in the field of digital animation and audiovisual content with a high percentage of animation. To be eligible for this aid, co-development between Spanish, Portuguese or Italian production companies with Latin American individuals or legal entities from Member States of the IBERMEDIA Program will be necessary.

The Short Script Workshop in Berlin is opening its sixth call for applications, and we are excited to invite you to participate in this new edition.
Led by María Meira, an award-winning screenwriter with over twenty years of experience in international cinema, our program offers an inspiring audiovisual writing experience in Spanish, aimed at gathering and enhancing the richness of contemporary Spanish-speaking perspectives and voices in Berlin.
In collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes in Berlin, the Workshop provides a platform for creation and reflection, where participants will work intensively and personally on the development of script projects over six months. Additionally, the program includes a cultural exchange experience in the city of Berlin.
A maximum of 9 selected projects will be developed from their early stages to extract their full potential, with the goal of producing a high-quality script that could become a short film lasting between 10 and 20 minutes.
